Always stay here when possible while traveling to New Orleans. Exterior is very nice; rooms are very nice and you often get 2 windows in the room and one in the bath. Very comfortable beds. Private parking.

This is not a luxury hotel. I give it five stars because of location, parking, cleanliness , but most of all for the staff. Sitting in the lobby is like being an honored guest in someone's home. Great breakfast, fruit and cheese or fresh baked cookies in the evening. Great veranda for watching the world go by. I have stayed...

The room that we stayed in had a unique feel of being in old time New Orleans. The room was clean and tidy. Great location for catching the street trolley to Bourbon St. Don't know where the room was situated but it was quiet. Breakfast on the morning we left was outstanding.

We had a great experience and enjoyed our one night stay. We did not have a reservation and the stay was not planned. The front desk reception was very helpful and friendly and answered all of our questions about how to get around. The hotel was very welcoming and our room was clean. A great experience!

My husband and I stayed here for a couple days while on Vacation and it was wonderful! The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The streetcar stop is right across the street and was very convenient to get around. We parked our car in the gated lot behind the hotel and didn't use it...

Right on St. Charles streetcar line in the lovely Garden District. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Desk personnel very helpful with multitudes of tourist questions. We will return. Breakfast nothing fancy but quite nice. One afternoon we had cookies!

There is seriously nothing they could do to have made the stay any more perfect. Beautiful hotel with a very nice patio facing the avenue. Have breakfast or a snack while watching the streetcars pass by. It's a calm part of the avenue right on the streetcar line. We left the car in the provided, gated, secure parking lot and...

This hotel is situated away from the hubbub of the French Quarter, but virtually straight opposite the trolley stop in the picturesque/quiet Garden area-ideal location. We are in a great area if you are looking to not stay downtown. Even though we are in a quieter location, there is still plenty to do. Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
