The welcoming Hampton Inn flair is one of the few things about this hotel that made me feel it was a Hampton Inn. It seemed to me like a Doubletree masquerading as a Hampton Inn, which is not a bad thing in my books. The hotel is very ideally located. It is literally a 4 min walk to the French...

I do apologizes about the elevators...they are safe...and we are about to start and complete change out of each of our elevators. I hope that...

The location is perfect: just outside the Quarter (1 block from Bourbon Street), rooms nice (the Jr. Suites are corner rooms with giant windows), and a better than average breakfast. It's our go-to when visiting New Orleans.

The room was clean and spacious. Security in the hotel was good. But breakfast left a lot to be desired... Every day, the eggs and whatever meat there was (sausage or ham) was cold. There were few healthy choices, since even yogurt was sweet. So, I had fruit and coffee. Not much of a breakfast.

Thank you for staying with us and for your review on the hotel. I am happy to see you enjoyed most of your stay but do apologize about the breakfast. The choices we have for breakfast is what Hilton requires us to have but the breakfast being cold is something in our control and again I do apologize and appreciate...

Walking distance to pretty much everything. You walk out the door to the right about a block & then across Canal Street to get to the start of Bourbon street. The Hotel was very nice but not what I would call luxurious, if that is what you're looking for. The rooms were nice & the beds & pillows were quite...

We went to our cousin's wedding and the venue was about a block away. When we go to the room and saw that it was quite large with 2 Queens and a sleeper sofa. The hotel was very clean, the personel were very nice and attentive. The beds were so comfortable that it didn't take much time to fall asleep....

I was very impressed with the front desk service. Professional, the quality of service and willing to assist with a smile. The cookies at 3pm are wonderful. Breakfast on 4th Floor - Amazing and full breakfast. Fresh fruit, eggs, bagels/breads/muffins, hot items changes daily, waffle stations, coffee, cereal, milk etc. The staff that handles the breakfast area are very clean,...

This hotel is in a great spot. It is close enough to the French Quarter, but far enough away to get some peace and quiet when you want it. We checked in early and our first room looked right out into a brick wall of the building next to us. At the time we checked in, that was all that...

The stay at this Hampton Inn was Excellent. The room was clean the beds fresh, the service superb and the complimentary breakfast made the start of my day great. My new phrase for telling others about Hampton and Hilton Honors hotels is, Great Hotel Great Stay , Hampton Inn it's the only way!

This hotel is VERY convenient, my room was large and very nice. I did not use the breakfast as was with others at various locations & with the night life I slept late. The hotel is few short blocks to Canal, Bourbon, the Quarter. A bit longer walk to Riverfront, Cafe'du Monde, Jackson Square... but still easy. I felt safe...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
