We really loved our stay at the Wyndham French Quarter. One block from Bourbon street. Right on Canal with access to the public transportation. Great views of the River. Based on my stay I would highly suggest your next stay here.

We stayed at the Wyndham New Orleans-French Quarter for 2 evenings and have no complaints. The HOTEL STAFF was friendly and courteous. The ROOM was clean. The BED was comfortable. The ROOM RATE was pricey, but I expected that for the location of the hotel. PARKING is extra, but again, expected that for downtown New Orleans. The hotel is in...

The Wyndham French Quarter was the perfect place to stay. Close to everything, but still quiet when it comes time to sleep. Felt very safe - the security guards were on hand 24/7 and not only that, they were super nice. The beds were spectacular - in fact I would like to find out which brand so I can sleep...

This was a very pleasant experience and could not have been happier. Check-in was easy and friendly. The staff were phenomenal, the location was good (a little more than half a mile to Jackson Square). The downstairs restaurant was pretty good; try the breakfast buffet. Wait staff was excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable and the view was nice. Would...

This property is fantastic. Great location, safe, clean and the staff were lovely. As a solo traveler, safety is a big thing for me and I felt fine with this hotel. Right across the road from a night owl and McDonald's. A greasy bar restaurant downstairs. The bed is super soft. I got a king room and it was fantastic!!!

Located in the French Quarter. The neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but we felt perfectly safe. A short walk to Jackson Square, Decatur St., Bourbon St., Canal St. and the waterfront. The rooms were clean, but small. It was the coldest weekend in New Orleans and we felt cold in all the common areas. The elevators opened right into the...

This is a good location right off of Canal Blvd. ... you're right on the edge of the French Quarter, within easy walking distance of the aquarium, shopping is all around, and there's plenty of great places to eat all nearby. I found the pricing reasonable, considering the location. Do your research ahead of time for good restaurants in the...

The first sight of the Wyndham French Quarter surrounding makes you want to rethink your stay. Unpleasant is as P.C. as one can be when describing the hotels surroundings. However, thanks to three young Wyndham employees, in particular the valets Ronald and Joey, who emitted such genuine and versed customer service skills, your thoughts turn to how warmly welcomed you...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
