Arrived on St. Patrick's day for a 4 night stay - our first trip to New Orleans. Lorraine & Robert were kind enough to get us checked in a little early, and provided some great information about what to see and where to go in the French Quarter. The location is absolutely perfect - just a few steps from the...

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We enjoyed our time with you and are pleased that this was a perfect spot for you. We do have "sound spas" in almost all the cottages to help with any street noises; we are not sure if you noticed it on the bedside table bottom shelf - usually that helps during...

Arriving at the jazz quarters was fantastic we greeted very nicely by the staff. The lady (i am so sorry but forgot here name) very nicely explained to us the must do's etc. It was on the Monday of Mardi Gras and as our room was not ready yet (we arrived earlier) they offered to store our suitcases and gave...

We have apologized for your receiving an incorrect key and for your ten minute inconvenience while waiting to get into your room. However, eight telephone calls to our office and emergency numbers as well as incessant ringing of our buzzer late at night, all within a five minute span, is startling and alarming. Your heightened state of agitation, aggressiveness, yelling...

We stayed in the Mayfield Cottage for 4 nights during Mardi Gras. The room was VERY CLEAN and comfortable. Robert, Lorraine and the employees were very gracious hosts and willing to share guidance to make our stay enjoyable. The courtyard is quaint. The breakfasts were INCREDIBLE and the chicory coffee much enjoyed. Can't wait to make the breakfast couscous. Thanks...

It was our pleasure to have the two of you as our guests. It was quite a festive time to visit during the best part of Mardi Gras and each morning Innkeeper Loraine appreciated your Mardi Gras outfits! We are so happy that everything about your stay rated us five stars! We hope to see y'all again the future. Thank...

My wife and I stayed at the Jazz Quarters for 4 nights over Valentines this year. To me this is what staying in New Orleans should be. Unique, updated property with a beautiful courtyard and very unique rooms - probably 10 in total give or take. The location was perfect for the French Quarter, Frenchman Street and just steps away...

Jazz Quarters is a very nice bed and breakfast. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable. Great location with easy access to the French Quarter by walking. Right next to Armstrong Park. The hosts were very gracious and helpful. The food was wonderful. Well worth the money. Would highly recommend.

The hospitable innkeepers - Loraine and Robert- are amenable from booking to check out. Even before check in, they were quick to answer questions about the facility, flexible to vegetarian menu restrictions of one of our four people, and proactive: they touched base with us a couple days before our stay because our group was flying in at different times....

There isn't a nicer place to stay in NOLA than the Jazz Quarters! Lorraine and Robert were the best host imaginable! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, knew where we were going, and they tried to make sure we had the most amazing trip we could! Listen to their recommendations because they...

Our room was perfect: the bed was super comfy and the room felt like home, rather than a hotel. The innkeepers are wonderful. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time and they have a wealth of knowledge about they city, particularly the must-see musicians. As others have said, the breakfasts are delicious. Staying in Treme

Neighbourhood Profile
Treme
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.
