We were three guys traveling to NO. We got a beautiful room with a private bathroom and balcony (solarium suite). Two shared a double bed and one was on a rollout bed. The hosts are great guys, and they will do everything to make your stay enjoyable! Highly recommend the HH Whitney House.

Glen is a host in the truest sense of the word- a mensch whose sense of humor and passion for his hometown elevated our experience of New Orleans. His spot-on recommendations (restaurants, bike rental, walking tour), breakfast and coffee service, and honest appraisal of the many possible things to do ("don't believe the hype re. that voodoo cemetery tour") were...

Great place to stay!! Historically beautiful home, fabulous hospitality, very clean and comfortable. My husband and I were greeted with warm and inviting hosts. We were served breakfast that was fresh and delicious with variety everyday. Only four words needed.... Welcomed with open arms.

My family and I stayed in the the bride and groom suites for 4 days around the new year. We had a great time, Glen and Randy are very hospitable, we had great breakfasts and enjoyed meeting the other guests. Glen and Randy never steered us wrong on where to go. Easy walk to the french quarter, we'd do it...

If you're looking for a place to stay that embodies the heart and soul of New Orleans, then this is the place to be. A generous host, comfortable rooms, lovely food, wonderful people. This place has so much character... Be sure to ask about their resident ghost. It's perfectly located about 10 minutes walking distance from the French Quarter -...

We stayed in the garden suite, which I liked. As others have mentioned, there's no bathroom door, although that wasn't a problem for us. The common areas of the house are chock full of stuff - the place would be more comfortable if there weren't quite so many knickknacks around (especially in the parlor and dining room). We were there...

the Whitney House is a charming, wonderful and elegant B and B. The owner was ever present when you needed him and an excellent cook. You could not want a more perfect place from which to enjoy New Orleans.

We have just had 3 nights stay at the Whitney B & B and have to say that we were sorry to be leaving the place. We can't understand the prev review on here as we had a great experience. The innkeeper Randall was truly amazing from the first point we walked through the door. We felt like we had...

The house and yard is in a state of disrepair with loose rails on stairs, balcony in poor condition, unattached vanity and toilets. Bed linen unchanged during stay (6days), cloth table napkins reused, fountains full of slime and sludge. Very cluttered both inside and out. Host's attitude needs adjusting as it seems he'd really rather there were no guests. Breakfast...

If you like boring and prefer cooking-cutter accommodations stay at a chain hotel that is the same all over the world. If you want a genuine one-of-a- kind New Orleans experience try the HH Whitney House. Sadly I was there only for one night but it was a real introduction to NOLA past and present. On the Esplanade north of...
