I was worried about booking this hotel due to the mixed reviews. I do understand that you get what you pay for. My granddaughters really wanted to stay in something quaint and "New Orleanish". Our stay was great, but here is the issue. We specifically...More
We stayed at the Streetcar Inn when booking it through the Hotel Tonight app and only stayed for one night.
The location offers easy access to the streetcar line, which is the best amenity of this property.

The inn has an incredible location being about 1 block from the streetcar stop. It was generally quiet but breakfast was lacking. There wasn't anything to drink other than coffee so I would suggest planning on eating breakfast out. The rooms were clean but expect...More

Yes, very safe. I travel alone and I have never felt uneasy I've stayed here on three of my trips to NOLA. The streetcar stop is right out the front door. There are nice restaurants within walking distance. The Blind Pelican is 1 1/2 blocks away. Great local place with a fantastic oyster happy hour. VooDoo BBQ is next store. The Irish House is across the street. You are just one block from Prytania Street and a few blocks from Magazine Street. It's easy to enjoy the Garden District. As in any large city, be aware of you surroundings. Stay and enjoy.

There is one room with a private balcony and a king bed, aptly titled our King Balcony room, which many would call the best room in the house. If you have difficulty with stairs however I would not recommend this room as it is on the second floor.
