From a great check-in to our departure this place did everything right. Our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the Jazz that was performed in the lounge on Friday evening. The location is convenient. The staff was attentive and very friendly.

There was nothing to complain about, nothing but superior service and surroundings. I knew I needed aircon visiting New Orleans in the summer and have stayed in many hotels when the aircon machine kicks in and wakes me but the one in this hotel was quite enough that it didn't which is so unsual for me. Amazing location to Bourbon...

We've stayed here on the club floor multiple times and we love it. Check-in is a little odd - be prepared to valet park, go in the building, and take the elevator up a few floors to the lobby. Things we love: - Very comfortable and elegant room. We always sleep well here. - The club lounge. Wonderful food, delicious...

My partner and I were attending a wedding over the weekend and checked in on Friday morning. I was happy to see that I had been upgraded to club level. We went up to our room to drop off our bags and meet some friends out for lunch and walk around the Quarter. Upon our return to the room, I...

There was a time when the Ritz Carlton had high standards but now I think they rely on there reputation of days gone by. They are nothing special and don't seem to value their guests. We stayed only one night but were disappointed.

When you hear the name "The Ritz" you expect nothing but the best! This experience, although decent, did not impress me. The hotel is clean with a good location, but there was little "wow" factor. Our one lunch at the hotel took nearly an hour and a half, and we had to bully the manager to comp the meal. I...

6 night stay for our 25th wedding anniversary. Received a warm welcome and we're given an upgrade to an executive suite. Though a bit dated,(currently making renovations) the Ritz is a classy hotel with friendly staff and in a great part of town. You're one block from Bourbon street and the heart of the French Quarter. Step out the front...

A group of us go to tea at the Ritz twice a year. Always loved it. This time - not so. Service was poor and slow. The food portions were cut down considerably. You use to get large scones that were the size of bisquits, not you get miniature scones (2) that are no larger than a vanilla wafer. We...

This hotel has two things going for it, location and the friendly staff. That's about all. With the price of this establishment, I would expect to have internet included, it was around $13 per day. The coffee bar prices were a little high but it closed too early. The rooms are small for the price and the bed was very...

We spent a long weekend at the Ritz in May and had a great time. The hotel is within walking distance of everything. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
