Wonderful hotel and very convenient to everything in the French Quarter. Great food in the club level but certainly a more relaxed ambience than other Ritz hotels. The rooms in the "Maison Orleans" section are wonderful.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans on Labor Day Weekend 2014. What a great and wonderful hotel property. Excellent Service, Super Clean and comfortable and of course the signature Ritz Carlton service that we've come to expect. I just realized that I never wrote my review, so I wanted to catch up and say thanks for a great...

This is the second visit to the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans. The place is really clean and smells great as you go into hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Had a corner suite. Bedroom was dark though. Bed was comfortable. Carpet was clean. Living area was very nice. Two flat screen tv's. Large bathroom with separate shower and tub....

The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans has a fantastic location on Canal Street, with the French Quarter attractions a short walk away. The staff members are very friendly, and attend quickly to your needs. This hotel has much work to do in the realm of housekeeping -- the room decor looks a bit old to begin with; however, the rooms are not...

An oasis of class and sophistication in New Orleans. As most know N.O. can be a pretty low brow crazy kinda dirty place. The Ritz Carlton is anything but. The lounge in there is gorgeous. The rooms were awesome, service was excellent. Just the smell upon walking in is so pleasant compared to alot of the smells in New Orleans...

We planned a destination wedding for our daughters wedding and I had to deal with 4 different hotels for room blocks. The only hotel that didn't drop the ball at some point was The Ritz. All of the accommodations were beautiful and so well kept. Everywhere you went you were met with a smile and a "can do" attitude for...

Can't beat the hotel's proximity to the Quarter. Only one block from Bourbon St. Service was great and up to par with other Ritz properties. Ask Bubba at the door for food recommendations. The room was clean and in good condition. The entire time we were there my wife would not stop talking about the gardenia candles everywhere in the...

I have had the pleasure of staying at this property for many years. The staff is exceptional. The rooms are immaculate. The doorman, "Bubba" makes the stay even more enjoyable. Every member of the staff I met was genuinely pleased to have me as a guest. Every request is met with a "yes" and a smile. Thank you, Ritz-Carlton New...

Beautiful hotel in a great location, but seriously lacking the class and quality that comes with the other Ritz hotels. Staff did not seem as helpful or friendly, hallways smelled moldy, there was an overwhelming sense of age in this hotel, almost as if it has fallen through the Ritz Carlton cracks. Ive been to others and been overwhelmed by...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
