Stayed here in December with my sisters and wanted to experience the good ole 'Southern Charm' that NOLA is known for. The hotel is located amongst a chain of other well-known accommodations and is within reach of some of the exciting scenes in the French Quarter. The only thing I can say about this hotel is that it needs some...

Good spot 1 block off canal street. Easy walk to Quarter. We also walked about a mile to WW2 museum during the day, but you can take the St Charles streetcar (it wasn't running the day we were there). Very friendly & helpful staff. Self-parking is $20/day, and is 3 blocks away, or they have valet for about $35 I...

My wife and I went here for a quick weekend getaway. We were on the top floor with a great view of downtown. This is a business hotel for sure. We liked it for the price and walking convenience to downtown and Bourbon St. When we went it was very new. The staff was terrific and helpful. They valet parked...

I had a great time in New Orleans! The staff at the Courtyard completely enhanced my experience. I was there for 6 days for work (architecture), and I don't have any complaints. Whether it was Jean valeting my rental car, or the ladies at the restaurant downstairs (Dagenera & Deontine) serving up my drinks - I was always impressed. Next...

Stayed here during the carnival season for the express purpose of watching a few parades. They have balcony rooms overlooking the parade route (St. Charles Ave). If you do not want to experience the parades, do not book this type of room as it will be very loud. The staff was welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. It was...

Ate breakfast at Daisy Dukes Carondelet St. (recommended to us by hotel staff) block or 2 from hotel. Great breakfast! Rooms were comfortable and clean. This hotel is located only a block or so across canal from Royal St in the French quarter and is on the parade route and only a block away from the French qtr parade route. We found the hotel clean and the rooms comfortable. It's very close to Starbucks and a cvs. We walked everywhere and left our car in...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
