Staff is excellent. The property is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. The complimentary breakfast is a great way to start the day (or end it if you've been partying too hard). Highly recommended.

Jamie D, You're too kind. I'm glad the breakfast was able to suit your lifestyle, at any rate--we're here to provide! :) Do come back and see us again soon. You know there's plenty more party where that came from.

My husband and I took our two 20 something sons to New Orleans over the Christmas holiday. Our first attempt at giving each other memories as opposed to gifts for this celebration of love. The Audubon Cottages were the perfect match for our sometimes disparate needs. Close enough to the French Quarter so that our sons could celebrate all things...

I have a tendency of booking name brand hotels, so I was a little skeptical of staying at Audobon Cottages. My wife and I had a wonderful time! The room (Cottage 7) was great. The grounds were immaculate. The location is within walking distance to everything. Above everything else was the staff. They were truly great and it shows they...

wonderful spot! within walking distance of all the cool things to do in the Quarter - situated behind an average looking door on Dauphine Street is a secret garden of cottages! we had a group of us that stayed in the majority of the cottages - I had number 4, which had two bedrooms upstairs with a lovely sitting area...

What a surprise, hidden away in the midst of the Quarter! Private cottages, multiple bedrooms, period furniture, heated pool and Real French Quarter architecture, with exposed interior bricks and timbers. Breakfasts were hot, with just about anything you would want. Bathrooms were very nicely appointed and spacious. Our phones did not work tho, and I was disappointed to learn that...

This is the first time I have left a revue of any kind in a public forum. A group of our managers along with my wife and myself were in town for a business conference. Rather than stay at the large well appointed hotel where the conference was being hosted I opted to see if we could find something with...

KansasCityKevin, You certainly grabbed our attention with that opening line! Wow! Thank you for such an amazing compliment! It was a pleasure hosting you and your party here at the cottages. We are always delighted to be a part of special, or... even slightly mysterious memories. We will be looking forward to having you back next time you're in town.

Centrally located in the French Quarter was able to walk everywhere within a mile or two. Next trip I plan to rent bikes, it would be so easy to store inside the individual room courtyards. Also, looking forward to a hot weather visit to have drinks by the pool. Brian and Maria were a wealth of information on local restaurants...

Tea C, Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you appreciated our input and ideas, and I'm sure Maria will be pleased as well. Renting bicycles is a fabulous idea--it is our favorite way to explore New Orleans. Next time you're in town with us, we will make sure we find you a good place to do that.

The Audobon Cottages was an excellent choice for our stay in the French Quarter. From the accessibility to the accommodations, all aspects were perfect. We enjoyed access to all areas of the city with ample solitude from the same.

chadr376 You'd make a great spokesperson for the property!! We do love the simultaneously close-to and far-from aspect of this property when it comes to the Bourbon Street party crowd. Perfect place to stay in New Orleans. Close to all the action but. Dry quiet and secluded. This property is a perfect location to stay while you enjoy all of the ambiance of New Orleans and it's great food and music.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
