The hotel is beautiful, well-appointed and clean. The pool and courtyard area is quiet and relaxing. There are some oddities as it is in a historical building - small, closet like french doors to the bathroom with no locks, old slow elevator but overall a great choice if you want to stay in the craziness of it all.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This hotel is right mid-way along Bourbon Street and is worth the money, in my opinion. I've stayed here for 45 nights over the last few years and I can not imagine a more comfortable experience - the beds, in particular, are incredible. Being on Bourbon, the noise from the bar bands, street celebrations, and parties can be heard to...

Nice hotel. Comfy room. It was difficult to find a route to the parking garage some days because streets are blocked off, but that is a minor complaint. You should know that if you have a room on the Bourbon Street side that it's loud - really loud. But to me, this is part of the NOLA experience.

I stayed at the Four Points Sheraton for a solo trip to NOLA; I wanted to be somewhere central and convenient. This hotel is both! Very nice (but smallish) room at the back of the hotel, so I didn't hear much from Bourbon Street and didn't need to use the earplugs. Nice huge TV and room service cooked some delicious...

Same hotel, same great location, same great bed and incredibly comfortable pillows. So how can the review of my second stay here drop down to one star after previously according this hotel five stars on my other visit? Easy, room service, or better stated, lack thereof. We were there for three nights. On our second day, we headed out early...

This hotel was great. It's right in the middle of the action. Our room was on the backside of the hotel so we heard no noise from bourbon street. However, they provide ear plugs just in case. Our room was big and nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only issue was that they took down the wrong...

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is right in the middle of the action and nothing is too far away. We walked everywhere we wanted to go in the FQ. The streetcars on Canal are a quick walk away as well. We booked a courtyard room but were given a Toulouse balcony room....

Rooms on the Bourbon Street side are loud all day and night, but the rest of the hotel is good. Our balcony room on Toulouse was being worked on when we arrived so we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite on Bourbon Street. It was on the 4th floor with no balcony and had a tiny view of the street....

We stayed here Thursday before the Mardi Gras weekend was in full swing. We opted for a Bourbon Street balcony room so that after we came back from dinner, people watching, parades (etc) we could enjoy the craziness from our balcony; it did not disappoint! We arrived in the evening and while some streets were blocked, security/police gladly moved blocks...

My son and I stayed here one night to have a look at Tulane. We could see in advance that it was a good value. When we arrived, being Platinum, they offered us the opportunity to stay in a 3rd floor balcony room. What was also impressive is they alerted us in advance that it would be noisy and gave...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
