OMG SO MUCH FUN!!! We reserved a Bourbon Street Balcony Suite to experience it at least once in our lifetime. It was a total blast!! The balcony was on the 2nd floor so we were able to talk and laugh and dance with people on Bourbon Street. There is no smoking in the rooms, but you can smoke on the...

My son and I stayed here one night to have a look at Tulane. We could see in advance that it was a good value. When we arrived, being Platinum, they offered us the opportunity to stay in a 3rd floor balcony room. What was also impressive is they alerted us in advance that it would be noisy and gave...

We visited for our kids spring break in April. We had a room with a balcony over Toulouse St. Comfortable room, although a bit tight for the 4 of us. Clean and adequate for our stay. Location was wonderful to everything we wanted to see in the French Quarter. Didn't need a car, we could walk everywhere! Quiet to the...

For a girls getaway to New Orleans we could not have hoped for a better hotel! Our check in process was easy, the staff was extremely helpful and kind for our entire stay, and the room was clean. The Toulouse St balcony was great for people watching and made breakfast in the room much more entertaining. We didn't spend a...

I stayed for three nights and found the location very convenient in the middle of Bourbon street and easily walkable to everything in the French quarter. It's not the most charming or authentic New Orleans hotel but the location is a big draw. My room was pretty basic but clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had a Toulouse...

I stayed at this hotel in April 2017 for business. It's located in the heart of French Quarter, where actions are. I got a room away from the main streets, so the noise wasn't too bad. However, the wall is relatively thin, and you can hear the conversation of your next door neighbors. The first night, my neighbors came back...

It was awesome and noisy. We had a balcony which was so cool! You really can see everything and be part of it. Such a neat hotel. Had an awesome brunch in the restaurant. The people were so friendly and nice. The pool/courtyard area was beautiful. Such a neat hotel.

I appreciated the standard comforts of being in a Sheraton, but if you're not into the noise and the SMELLs of Bourbon Street, this hotel might not be of your liking. I ate my breakfasts in the hotel dining room and watched staff hose the sidewalks, but the whiff of garbage and human stink whenever you stepped outside is rather...

I give this place an average rating. The biggest plus is convenience. Being in the heart of the Quarter is fantastic since you can easily stop back at your room for bathroom breaks, a rest, water, etc. We were in the front on Bourbon, 5th floor. Yes, it'll be noisy, you're on Bourbon St. But, surprisingly it wasn't as noisy...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
