Great value for the location. Room was clean and staff was helpful. Nice to be close to things but also still have some peace and quiet when you want it. Restaurant was closed for remodeling but a nice coffee shop in lobby. Nice 24 hr shop and middle eastern cafe on the same block. If you drive, keep in mind...

Upon arrival in our favorite city, we pull up to the front of the hotel and park our car in front of the passenger zone sign. There was no valet to take our car (even though you have to valet your car if it's an SUV) and there was a construction or maintenance van taking up one of the 2...

Thank you for your feedback and for your recent stay with us. Parking signage is abundant and clearly labeled by the City of New Orleans (not the hotel). You would have only been issued a ticket if you were parked illegally. We understand that parking downtown can be difficult at times, however we all have to follow the laws put...

Could not ask for a better location and with a Groupon discount the price for a week was excellent. The building architecturally interesting, an old Sears store so no rooms have windows and the interior is very pretty. The rooms are comfortable in size, always got an great night sleep, bedding excellent and with the location off the Main Street...

The hotel overall was very accommodating to our group, let us bring in food, etc. On the flip side, the bathroom floor was sticky repeated days. The tub looked clean, but I showered off face paint and it stuck to the sides of the tub and I had to clean it. I can always tell if things have been cleaned...

This is a good, affordable place to stay in New Orleans. It is close to the French Quarter and the trolly. The staff is the best! They really made us feel welcomed and they are super friendly. The manager is wonderful too. We are Wyndham rewards members so when we arrived, we found out that because we are rewards members,...

I'm a medical professional, and was attending a conference at the Roosevelt Hotel which is right across the street from the Baronne St. entrance from the Roosevelt. The cost was about half as much as the Roosevelt with the AARP discount. Normally the AARP discount is the same as the AAA discount but for this hotel the AARP rate was...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
