The Staff is friendly, beautiful lobby, and clean room. The room is spacious but, no closet only a wardrobe. Bathroom is clean with a tub and marble counter. However coffee maker is in the bathroom. I will stay again the location of the hotel is great and staff is helpful.

We stayed a week, the rooms are very old world and spacious. I loved the experience and how the bank has been converted. Try the restaurant. We had a corner room which provided a great view. 5 stories up we did get street noise when fire engines went past. To me that was part of the deal -no double glazing....

Went to New Orleans to celebrate my birthday. Upon arriving, the front desk asked our occasion for traveling and upgraded me and my fiancé to a suite for my bday. Good location, and was only 15 minute walk to French Quarter. Everything was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful with questions.

Love this spot, but even more the staff was amazing. Jason knows all the great spots to attend and he never got sick of all out questions. GREAT place to stay clean, and comfy too. We could walk to the Mississippi and look at the great shops all around the area.

stayed at the whitney windham on poydras st, Patrick the manager took exceptional care of us while there, had our room ready upon arrival (even though it was before check-in time). Room was very nice, service was great, restaurant/bar staff were very attentive, food & drinks were very good. would highly recommend staying here to anyone coming to new Orleans.

What a wonderful weekend spent with my husband. Staff, Food, Rooms, everything was great. So welcoming and professional from arriving to departure. Location is perfect. Not to busy, but many thing within walking distance to explore in the big city. Defiantly will be back soon... Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The beauty of hotel and location is why we go back. It's centrally located close to most of the places we go to. The bar and restaurant are very quaint, relaxing very pleasant. We recommend The Whitney to all our friends.

We paid for a king suite. The most expensive room. When we walked into the room, we walked first into a little dark room with a small bed and blocked up window. Our room had a another window looking into parking garage that had fluorescent light shining in all night. Room was filthy, no top sheet in bed, when I...

This is a very good hotel alost excellent! Well located, very nice, friendly and quick attention and service to the guests, its building is great and appropiate to the city of New Orleans, old but very well kept. i would only advice to establish the concierge office at the very main entrance of the hotel, it would be more useful...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
