Disappointed. The place feels rundown and needs some TLC. Pictures don't show this. The common room is dark, dungy, and cluttered and didn't feel like spending time in there. Didn't ever see anyone else relaxing there. Our room was on the main floor and noisy during breakfast time. Breakfast is very basic, continental with no hot items and self serve....

Starting with our arrival, Joe & Bebe were warm, welcoming and helpful. The house is just lovely, breakfast is ample and convenient and rocking on front porch with my coffee was a delight. Location very convenient. We stayed while touring Tulane so it's a great spot to be near the university. Every little last thing was in place and attended...

We love our college bound families looking at schools. So happy that this Mom and daughter were pleased with their stay. We will look forward to their return if Tulane is the college opportunity of choice.

My daughters and I stayed at the Avenue Inn while we were visiting Tulane. Joe and Bebe could not be more accommodating and welcoming. They made us feel us at home and helped us navigate the city and neighborhood. The house was super special. We will be sure to return.

What a treat to stay in one of the mansions on Saint Charles Avenue. We were very happy with our lovely room. The owners make you feel very comfortable as soon as you enter and are offered bottled water and a very large cookie. We took advantage of the trolley for transportation to everything we wanted to see and do....

Our stay at the Avenue Inn was an unalloyed pleasure. The room was comfortable and lovely. The location was great -- it was quiet, yet very convenient having the streetcar right outside the front door. It was very easy to get to wherever we wanted to go, whether it was in the Garden District, the Quarter, the Treme, or to...

We so appreciate the time this guest took to write about his experience here. So glad that his expectations were met and that our staff member made such a great impression. We will pass along the accolades to her and everyone in our mansion home.

This 17 room turn of the century bed and breakfast is a find. In a city full of overpriced hotel options, you will be pleasantly surprised booking a stay here. Located in the garden district, directly on the streetcar line, you are within walking distance to some restaurants and a short ride from the French Quarter and all its offerings....

We stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is beautiful, our room was charming and comfortable, the owners are friendly and helpful and the location is excellent - there's a streetcar stop right in front of the inn and a coffeeshop next door. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit New Orleans!

This B and B is in a good location...adjacent to the Garden District. The big advantage here is the convenience of the streetcar. It will take you everywhere for a nominal fee. The house itself is old and historic. However, it does not have the "charm" that others have. The house is decorated with an odd mix of old and...

We appreciate the positive observations of this guest about their stay and regarding the location and convenience of the streetcar which stops at our front door. Our mansion home is old, 125 years, and we feel that anything of that age can be charming to most. We were sad to learn that this guest was disappointed, but we direct readers...

We stayed here for the last few days of Mardi Gras to see the Orpheus and Rex parades. This beautiful historic home is in a perfect location on St. Charles Avenue! We watched the parades from the parkway right in front of the house in a festive atmosphere with many local residents and families. Joe and Bebe and staff were...
