My wife and I spent three nights at the the Green House Inn during our mostly vacation visit to New Orleans in late July -- yeah, the worst time of year for NOLA, but she had a convention to go to. I'm so glad we chose this place over one of the hotels downtown. At first glance the neighborhood looks...

Hello Jabe74, Thank you for being a great guest at The Green House Inn and leaving for us a review on TripAdvisor! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and had a chance to experience a few of the many sites New Orleans has to offer, including the national World War II museum. I am sorry that...

This B&B is a short walk from the French Quarter and is located in the Warehouse district. Quiet place to relax and stay while visiting NOLA. There's a nice bar across the street (no food served). You also have a 24-hour tavern located nearby on St. Charles Ave, if you are craving a midnight snack. We stayed at the Mandevilla...

My husband and I stayed at the Green House inn for four nights last week. Our room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. My favorite part about this place was the Pool and Jacuzzi. The whole garden around the pool area smelled wonderful with all the blooming flowers and I enjoyed napping on the swings after a long day of...

Even though it rained 3 solid days while we stayed at The Green House Inn, our stay in the Heliconia Room was perfect. This room has a private courtyard and entrance to the lush pool and gardens. Jesse and his staff are wonderful. I don't usually like the B&B scene but this one is a good compromise for hotel stays....

We stayed here for two nights. Although we didn't spend alot of time on site it is an excellent place to experience New Orleans. The price is less than the big hotels and the parking is alot safer and on premise. Frank and Jessie are wonderful hosts and very helpful. The $3 pass for the streetcar/bus is a must do....

I spent nearly a week with the folks at Green House Inn. I was there for business and a couple of days of pleasure. I found the Inn exactly as described. I arrived late (11pm) and there was lovely Sadie there to get me settled. A quick soak and swim, was delightful. The host, Jesse and assistant innkeeper Frank can...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
