Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

I found this a difficult review to write, because there were things that I liked about the property, and things I didn't. I'll start with the high points. Everyone I met on the staff was friendly and did their jobs well. The room was large, the bathroom huge, and everything

Extremely disappointing. From the service to the accommodations to the amenities of the hotel, everything was slightly below par of a three star hotel. Some toiletries were missing in the room when we checked in and the shower was slow to drain. The service was the main

The staff could not have been nicer, more courteous or more helpful. Its a very nice hotel in a very decent part of the city, just a 2 block walk from the French Quarter. I just can't understand why the don't have a chest of drawers in there for clothes. ZThere was on small

We will be staying end of Feb - is the pool warm enough to swim in at this time of year? Also is there a gym?
Scrap that! Just seen - no pool! Despite pictures on here. A gym though?

Does this hotel have an outdoor pool or a place to sit outside to get some sun?
As previously answered, there are not any pools and they have a sundeck, I recall seeing a relatively new hotel a few blocks away that had a very nice pool area. Although, I am generally not much of a pool person and preferred walking around the riverfront parks and riverfront marketplace along the Mississippi River to during the day and the action within the French Quarter to enjoy in the evening. Having stayed at this hotel for work, I would also point out that its location is in the the Financial District which is pretty quiet in the evenings and several blocks away from the French Quarter, as well as about a half mile from the river.
