If you are use to Renaissance Hotel Club lounge, and you book the Club room you are going to be very disappointed. There is no Club Lounge. The Hotel is on a side street in from Canal St. which means that there is no excessive noise but easily accessible to Bourbon St. Just down the street is Brother's Chicken and...

We stayed in a corner Club level room which was dual aspect so very light and spacious and good views. It's close enough to the French quater but not in the middle of all the noise. Bed very comfy and room facilities good. Heating controls seemed a bit iffy but perhaps we just couldn't operate them properly. Staff pleasant and...

Purchased hotel room $81 night Priceline. Priceline deal where you pay for a certain star level then they show you the hotel you get after you pay for it. It was a winner getting this deal!! Asked for a king on a upper floor so the front desk gave us 18th floor king corner room that looked over entire city...

It's funny... this is one of those places where you'll see shady lookin' people outside of this hotel during the day, yet, normal people come out in the nighttime. I'm a laid back traveler. I'm not one that needs to be pampered by a hotel. I just need a comfortable place to crash, especially after an evening in New Orleans!...

This is my second time staying here - each equally as enjoyable. Both times the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, this last time even sending up a toothbrush for me since I forgot. Was disappointed that the restaurant only serves food from 6 AM to 10 PM. Meaning if you want room service you have to order...

The hotel was just okay. It was in a great location, but it lacked the essence of a Renaissance hotel. I'm a platinum member and have stayed at many hotels. The rooms were old in decor and upkeep. My sheets were dirty on arrival. My keys stopped working and couldn't be reviewed. Poor customer service in not answering calls at...

Came into town for the Sugar Bowl, could not have had a better location to explore town. We came in early and most of our rooms were ready. Headed to the restaurant for some drinks and munchies. Excellent service and great eats and drinks especially the truffle chips with blue cheese, fantastic. Only issue we paid extra for club level...

Everyone who works at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. We arrived early, hotel called as soon as the room was available. We were upgraded to a suite with a wonderful view. We are both platinum and never get upgraded to suite when we are together only separately, so this was an unexpected treat. Celebrating our 8 anniversary and...

This was my birthday trip and first time in NOLA. I liked the location from the French Quarter, you basically walk around the block and you are in the action. That was convenient. When we checked in Robert was very sweet and helpful. He even gave a restaurant suggestion (thats a different review). I guess this is a "boutique" hotel...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
