Ok so I admit if I am at a conference I like to stay close to the venue, and in this case the hotel is perfect. The rooms are a good size, I was in a ground floor unit next to the pool, and expected it to be a but it was fine. Breakfast is free which is good because...

Our stay in a suite (2 Q beds and couch) on Dec 30 to Jan 2 was the WORST ever. On first day, we were so excited that they put us on the first floor right across from the hot tub and small work out room...until the night mare began at bed time. The entrance door was slamming hard every...

My husband & I stayed at Springhill the night before our cruise and again 1 night upon our return in New Orleans. We highly recommend this hotel!! Not only is it located within walking distance (4 blocks) of the port, the staff is over-the-top accommodating. They serve a hot, buffet style breakfast and warm cookies in the afternoon. The rooms...

Very happy with our stay in this well located hotel. We were two days pre-cruise, and this hotel was perfectly situated as a home base to both do a bit of exploring in New Orleans as well as to embark our cruise ship at the Riverwalk on embarkation day. The hotel is quiet, and situated in the middle of the...

We stayed at SpringHill Suites for a week between Christmas and New Year. Hotel is located 2 blocks away from the Convention Center, and the Cruise port, 3 blocks away from WWII Museum, 15-20 minute walk to the French Quarter and all attractions. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is excellent, but it got so busy and there was no place to...

Great customer service and friendly staff. Good breakfast and very spacious room at a reasonable price. 3 blocks from the French Quarter. But, beware that there's a $35 a day valet parking at the hotel. If you choose to park your own, $20 at a public parking a block down, Either way, you need to account for parking everyday. You...

We stayed here overnight waiting for our cruise the next day. We arrived late, 1 am, and the roads were still packed with people. It was very, very loud! However, the room was clean, you could smell how clean the sheets were. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, and the location was super close to fulton garage...

Just spent four nights here and had a great time. A good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and near major tourist sights. The double queen room was partially separated by a wall. The living area has a sleeper couch big enough for four to sit and a desk and work chair. I like the sink, micro wave and small refrigerator...

The location is very convenient to cruise parking at Fulton garage. The breakfast is nice and the staff are friendly. The only negative for the trip was the air ducts need to be cleaned in the room because little lint tufts would come out of the ducts when the heat came on. It caused a lot of sneezing and congestion...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. I am glad that you enjoyed our breakfast and our staff. Thank you for letting us know about the lint coming from the ducts in your room so that we can prevent a similar problem for the next guest to occupy that room. We hope to see...

Stayed here with a group of friends for a quick getaway. The staff of the hotel was phenomenal. Valet is the only parking option, but we were greeted quickly by a Valet. Check in was effortless. The guest room floors are a bit of a maze, so request a low number room if you have the option. If you plan...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
