This is an excellent place to stay at. I traveled to NOLA from New Jersey by car. We arrived at the hotel late and offered us an executive suite because our room was't ready. The breakfast there was delicious and the pool was an okay size. The best thing was how close the hotel is to the main sites of...

Sounds like you had a great visit to the BIG EASY and I am happy that we were able to contribute. Our location is indeed close to all of the attractions in the downtown area. Our front desk team has been able to personally experience most of all the city has to offer so they can help you decide on...

While the rooms were spacious - 2 queen and a pull out sofa, the sofa bed was horrible. The mattress was all springs, no cushion so if you are looking for a comfortable pull out sofa, skip this and sleep on the couch. On the other hand the beds had tempurpedic mattresses and were very comfortable. The breakfast was also...

Our family of five stayed in this hotel two nights prior to a cruise and found the hotel to be a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel for our purposes. We had a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The room was large enough for all our luggage and comfortable for the five of us. We did not utilize...

attended a large convention and made reservation. Was informed we would get team discounts upon arrival, but the city was overbooked so we needed to reserve. Upon arrival this was certainly true. However, the mgr would not give myself and 4 other families with our group the discounted rate. There were a number or other people we met that had...

Dear 4travel813, we want to thank you for your feedback regarding the rates. Typically, to get the discount/group rate it must be done at the time of booking the reservation. We do apologize about the confusion. We are happy you chose to stay with us and look forward to hosting you on your next visit to New Orleans.

Hotel is well located within walking distance to convention center, and a short cab ride to French Quarter. Room is spacious and comfortable, although carpets in the room were a bit worn. Breakfast in the morning is good with lots of options (yogurt, eggs, sausage, cereal, etc.). Pool is small but we were not there to swim. Staff at front...

Remodeled and clean, beds where confortable. for us at a perfect location, not too far from the french quarter, but not too close either. We visited with 3 kids and they loved the breakfast. We walked everywhere and felt safe. Only a bit of street noise from a nearby bar, but nothing too crazy.

Check-in was slightly slow due to other customers. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, especially Renita (sp?) & Shannon. Front desk personnel were happy to arranged tours, suggested restaurants, provided directions, etc. The sleeping area was slightly cramped. the bed was very close to the A/C unit and the closet door had to be closed in order to...

We booked this hotel for the night before our cruise. It is located just a couple blocks from the convention center and the port. Here's the hint about this very nice, 4 star hotel. Don't look for a big neon or other sign on the street. You won't find it. The only identification is a sign (see pictures below) painted on the wall by the entrance on St. Joseph street. This is a little strange. Otherwise, there are many nice things about this hotel...

Quiet hotel near convention center, but a bit of a walk to French Quarter (0.5 miles edge, 1.0 miles to Jackson Square). Close to Nat'l WWII War Museum (two blocks). Inside rooms are quiet, away from street and certainly away from the noisy Bourbon St crowds. Bed is okay, not a pillow-top like other Marriotts. Rooms are suites, a bit...

Thank you Kevin for taking the time to share your opinion of our hotel. We are not in the French Quarter but less than a 25 minute walk form canal street which is the begining of the French Quarter. Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
