Loved the location and the staff. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Ate breakfast at hotel everyday for about 10.00. Only complaint is one the hotel can't control but the trash pick up by the city is almost every day, so ask for a room away from back parking lot. It is also 2 blocks from train tracks so...

We return to NOLA every year for our anniversary. We usually stay at a different historical hotel in the French Quarter every year just as a way to discover new places. But we will stay here again! We loved it. Hotel staff were helpful and professional. Parking is onsite! The room was magnificent. It was more of a suite. The...

A wonderful building full of charm and history. I got to eat breakfast every morning by the pool side and have a few drinks at the bar with all the celebrity memorable before we headed out to town. The rooms were small and cozy, suited our needs. Our toilet constantly ran and we informed the staff of the issue. It...

We stayed for 5 days and loved this hotel! Initially I was a bit worried because so many reviews mentioned it being too old and run-down, but it's in the quarter! Of course it's old! It's in fantastic shape and the staff was helpful and friendly. The pool was perfect for a quick dip to cool off in the afternoons,...

Recently stayed for four days. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Fantastic wait and hotel staff, location, pretty little courtyard with pool, restaurant (did not eat there but many did, said the breakfasts were wonderful), internet, cabs available outside, extremely quiet. After a horrifying journey which took 2 days for a three hour flight, hotel happily credited us for...

Historic French hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Fabulous bar, serving the perfect Bloody Mary. Photos of visiting celebrities are displayed throughout the bar. Choice of breakfast is varied. The rooms are comfortable and historic. For the past 27 years I have been a member of a Mardi Gras club and we have been staying here for more...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel which had a group booking for our friends wedding. The location is fantastic, we walked everywhere in the French Quarter. Hotel was very comfortable. It looks like a renovated condo/apartment home so the room was more a suite that had a lot of room. Great stay. Concierge was very friendly and the...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in Le Richelieu and it was beautiful! Slightly off the beaten path from the noisy hustle and bustle of the busy crowds in the french quarter, this hotel has quite some charm (and history)! The hotel staff is wonderful and very friendly! And after very long, hot days of walking miles it felt...

We stayed there for 1 night. Room 209. Satisfactory but very very old bathroom and kitchen area. It was a suite. Price was good fairly clean. We left to go to Baton Rouge but then had to go back for one more night. Room 405 awful. Musty old. 2 double beds when we asked for a king and they said...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
