Terrell House owner, Linda, and her staff were so wonderful to work with for our wedding in April 2017. We rented all of their rooms for a few days around our wedding and the staff of Terrell House were so accommodating for both the several day stay and all of the wedding preparation. It was a very busy few days...

I loved staying at the Terrell House! I would recommend this B&B to anyone. The rooms are impeccably decorated, the staff is friendly and helpful and the courtyard makes a gorgeous setting for an afternoon cup of tea or an elegant party. Five stars doesn't even begin to describe the value of this gem!

We were in town for a wedding and had a wonderful experience at the Terrell house. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Rooms were beautiful and the garden area for the wedding ceremony was perfect. Location was also great for seeing the market district and the french quarter.

I am so happy that you had such a nice stay, and that you enjoyed our courtyard as the venue for the wedding! We love hosting weddings in our courtyard, and the Springtime is a lovely time to attend one of them! I hope you will stay with us again in the future.

Was here for a wedding with a big group for about a week. Main house is gorgeous. 2-bedroom suites in neighboring building are spacious and a great deal. Service was exceptional, decor was beautiful. Couldn't have asked for more!

Our husband and I, along with two other couples stayed here and the Carriage House was perfect for our group. The breakfast every morning was top notch and delicious! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The location was within walking distance of the parades and places we wanted to visit. We always felt safe. We will definitely come back...

I want to stay here every time I'm in town now. Linda and Cooper are wonderful and the house is just gorgeous. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is delicious. You can walk to the shops on Magazine St and it's just a few blocks to the streetcar if you want to explore the other parts of the city....

We liked staying at the Terrell House because it was not too far out of the French Quarter & also close to the streetcar line. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The home is nice & clean & breakfast was not anything out of the ordinary but it was delicious.

I am happy to hear that you enjoyed our location so much! We agree that it's nice to be a bit removed from the Quarter but still within very close distance. We look forward to hopefully hosting you again in the future!

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.

“The larger rooms are a bit pricier, but they include gorgeous balconies and make you feel like royalty. If you can afford to, the extra cost is totally worth it:)”

“We had the "bridal suite" upstairs at corner of Magazine and Euterpe. This suite has everything one could want, including a multiple places to sit (!) including a large, comfortable porch overlooking Magazine. Amazingly, there was almost no street noise. Loved the dressing area with large vanity, too.”
