My husband and I stayed at this charming inn for 3 nights recently. It was a delight from beginning to end. Location is outstanding - easy navigating right off the interstate with no turns, and abutting the music district of the Marigny. There is a security gate, so we felt safe there. The inn is very tidy, and better hosts...

This is our second time to stay at Elysian Fields, However the first time since Michelle and Bob have taken over the Inn! Michelle and Bob are both lovely people and we felt welcomed the second we walked in the door!! We stayed in the same room, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as it had been painted and...

My wife and I along with several of our friends spent the Halloween weekend in New Orleans. We stayed at the Elysian Fields bed and breakfast. For several of us it was our second time staying there, but the first time with the current owners. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well decorated. Everything in the rooms and bathrooms worked...

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Elysian Fields Inn! Michelle - who owns and runs the place since a year now - is the heart and soul of the Inn! Her good mood, positive attitude and her making sure that her guests are well taken care of made our stay very enjoyable. Michelle makes great breakfast. She also has...

We head to NOLA a good bit and have passed Elysian Inn many times, but never stayed there. I noticed it was situated within a few blocks of Cafe Istanbul where we were going to a show, and the price was not nearly as high as most hotels we have used before so I booked it. Turned out to be...

I have been to NOLA numerous times and was wary of staying at a B&B for the first time. I have to say, after staying here, I am not sure how I will be able to stay anywhere else. Michelle and Bob were awesome! The food was delicious and the house was beautiful and actually very quiet despite having an...

Michelle or Bob or BOTH must have some type of culinary background because their breakfasts were amazing. The beds were made daily. They were great about being helpful and accessible without being intrusive. The room was quiet, clean and close to the French Quarters. We were close enough to walk to the fun and far enough to sleep without disturbance....

My friend and I were visiting NOLA for the first time and loved everything about it. Michelle and Bob and their beautiful inn helped make the experience a fabulous one in every way. They were great hosts, cooks, and event planners - going out of their way to help make our trip extra special. The inn itself is just as...

The owners of the house were incredible! They helped us out from A to Z. They recommended great local places to hang out. The accommodations were incredible also. The breakfast provided was superb along with champaign to drink. We will definitely return!

I and three friends stayed at Elysian Fields Inn this past weekend. I can't recommend it highly enough. The Inn itself is beautiful, well-maintained, comfy beds, and in a very convenient location - about three blocks to the heart of Frenchmen Street. Close enough to Frenchmen and the Quarter to walk but just far enough away that you don't have...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
