We stayed at this inn for 2 nights prior to a cruise from New Orleans. I booked this inn as I was looking for a different experience than your standard chain hotels and we certainly achieved that. We are regular visitors to the United States being fortunate enough to have family in Florida and have travelled widely staying in many...

I want to thank these guests for staying with us and apologize if they thought I was rude or inhospitable…I am a host, it is my first love to make people feel comfortable and welcome in my home Breakfast at the Inn always consist of a hot breakfast that changes daily, a cold choice which is always fresh fruit, yogurt...

We stayed with Leigh and Jim for one week. We found them delightful hosts who went out of their way to be helpful. The inn was clean, very comfortable and well located. Great breakfasts. Each night when we returned it felt like coming home. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to my friends.

My husband I had a great stay at Elysian Fields last week. The inn is nice, very reasonable pricing and absolutely great location next to Frenchman Street for great music options. Innkeepers are available for any help, plus talk to guest making the breakfast fun and interactive. Very enjoyable!

My wife and our daughter and her friend stayed in seperate rooms at the inn and had a great time. Jim and Leigh serve a great breakfast and really love New Orleans. The inn is situatied at a perfect distance from the French Quarter and many bars and jazz clubs. Felt like home in NOLA and would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here during the second week of this years Jazzfest. The innkeepers Jim & Leigh helped us to get our bearings as soon as we arrived and really seemed to listen to what we were interested in seeing in the area. The inn itself was charming and as music lovers we felt right at home (not...

I just wanted to say that I agree with all of the positive reviews. Jim & Leigh are so sweet & helpful, location, I thought, was great, & I slept like a baby every night. This was my first trip to New Orleans & it will not be my last. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sadly, we had to leave this lovely inn after staying for eight days in New Orleans. I chose this inn for it's proximity to Frenchman Street-the premier location for good music. We could easily walk the two blocks and no matter what time we wandered back, we felt completely safe in this charming neighborhood. It is also an easy walk...

Leigh and Jim run a terrific B&B. We went for QuarterFest, April 11-15, 2012. The Inn is a short 2 block walk to the Marigny section which leads right into the French Quarter. We loved our room and it was quiet after a very fun, but noisy day. Breakfasts were really well prepared each day and we just ordered for...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
