Stayed for a week at the Quarter House with my fiancé and mother. We had a one bedroom with a pullout in the kitchen. The location is perfect for visiting the city as it is right in the French Quarter close to the street car and bus lines. The staff is amazing friendly (props to Gregory at the desk). The...

Really nice place to spend a week. It is in a fully renovated building in the French Quarter. The rooms are decorated well with plush furniture, chandeliers, and king size beds. The bedrooms don't have windows but they have a "window" made of a multi-paned window frame with a mirror and closeable drapes. It may be a little weird, but...

The Quarter House accepts timeshare exchanges, and weekly or walk in rentals. Each unit is decorated in its own unique way.....antiques abound in most units. There are 2 courtyards and a small pool and hot tub. Each week a continental jazz breakfast, "taste of New Orleans" sampling, and a wine/cheese party (all complimentary) are hosted by the Quarter House. Fantastic,...

The Quarter House is right in the french quarter . We had a real nice stay there except for the bed I found the furniture needed some updating. The parking id quite expensive $20 a day. It is close to a lot of places to eat and drink. Staff very friendly and they have one morning with a continental breakfast...

What a beautiful, nicely staffed facility. It's clearly an older building but well maintained and met all of our needs. Having a kitchen meant we were able to eat fabulous food out, but dine on more practical and healthy options for at least one meal a day. Would definitely stay here again in this centrally located hotel.

The best NOLA has to offer in friendly homelike atmosphere. You are in the French Quarter but it is condo living. Fabulous location for food fun and music.Reasonable prices and availability. Close to transit, shopping and Canal street. No need for a car.

We had a 1br/1ba suite in the main building (there are several buildings). The elevator is slow so we did the stairs mostly. Our bedroom looked out onto the courtyard. The bad part was people would stay up all hours of the night and the noise filtered right up to our room, making sleeping challenging. The location is ideal for...

A 300 yr old hotel in the French Quarter that has been fully updated. Small kitchen made it easy to save some money on food. Close to all amenities. It has a small pool and hot tub but they just didn't do it for me. Makes for a lovely courtyard though

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
