This was a very unique hotel; actually four old buildings were combined to make the hotel. We checked our luggage, as we arrived early, and then headed into the French Quarter for drinks and music. When we returned to check in, our bags were brought to our room. The hotel is very clean, the staff was friendly and the location...

We stayed here for a long weekend in May. It's in a great location. Within walking distance of anywhere we wanted to go, Bourbon Street and Harrahs Casino. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The free breakfast is what one would expect, nothing great, nothing bad. Elevators were slow. Hotel was very clean, quiet, other guests were friendly. Our...

Our trip this hotel was disappointing initially. We arrived early and had to use the valet service to store our luggage.Tickets were handed over with no instruction of what to do with them? We then booked in at 4.00 p.m. and I explained to the gentlemen we had luggage with the valet.Ok came the reply.....nothing else. 1 hour later my partner...

Hotel is in a great location, 3 blocks from the French Quarters about the same distance to Harrahs Casino. Lobby is beautiful, I loved the brick walls and the lanterns. Buffet breakfast is served daily and is very good...believe it opens at 6am so good if you have an early tour or business meeting you can eat before you go....

My mother and I stayed at this property in April so I could attend a conference and we could visit New Orleans. The location is fabulous. It's several older buildings kind of joined together and renovated into a hotel. There's a cute courtyard with a small pool. The lobby space is gorgeous with enough room for breakfast tables, a small...

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel for four nights over the jazz fest. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very comfortable with sizeable bedrooms and a charming central area. And the hotel is very well located close to the French quarter and within easy walking distance of the streetcar. My only reservation was...

I am glad you had a great stay, and apologize for breakfast not being to your liking. We always try to provide a quality meal for guests to start the day with, and I am disappointed to know it did not hit the mark. Hopefully we can get another shot if you return to the city!

We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans and our stay at this hotel. . Close to the French quarter but away from the noise and easy to walk everywhere . We found the hotel very quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything went smoothly. It is close to the tram to see other parts of...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
