We found this hotel online and made the reservation the day before. The room rate is a little high, but the hotel was amazing. It was a great experience and we were able to walk to everyplace we were interested in dining or visiting. Also, very cool building. It is constructed from several other buildings they put together. Worth the... More

the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the french quarter. the breakfast is just good (nothing really special) just like the gym. the coffee on the room is very tasty and the hotel staff very friendly. the environment is quiet and the hotel is beautiful from the inside.

My group (4 couples) found the hotel to be comfortable with a staff that was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The hotel is 'quaint' at best. The free breakfast is a definite plus with a good variety of options. Daily room cleaning services were slow and for those looking for a nightcap, the hotel bar was closed by 11pm every... More

We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and enjoyed every minute! We were very happy with our hotel. The staff was so friendly and the concierge was very helpful. The rooms were clean and unique. Well worth the great price. Within walking distance to the quarter, river walk and casino. When we go back we are definitely staying there!

A really great "find" in the French Quarter. Exceptional friendliness, service and accommodations. The building had great "Character", and it was fun seeing all the old parts. It was close enough to walk to many attractions, as well as nice everyday places for lunch. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. The only thing lacking was a "grab bar"... More

I stayed here during a family trip to New Orleans in September. It was a walkable distance to the French Quarter, French Market, World War II Museum, Restaurants, Streetcars and Superdome. Our 2-room, 2 queen bed was comfortable and quiet up on the 5th floor. The dipping pool tucked into the hidden courtyard was just the right place to unwind... More

A 2 week stay at this hotel was planned as the highlight of a month-long US holiday. Unfortunately two months ago I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer needing major surgery and months of chemotherapy. The booking was on non-refundable terms, but when I informed the hotel I was given a full refund along with a personal note of good... More

I have to admit, I guess I was expecting a sort of boring cookie-cutter experience at this place, so I was really pleasantly surprised to discover how nice a hotel this was. One of the real standouts was the staff, who really go out of their way to be friendly and helpful from check-in through the stay to check-out. I'm... More

Great location - could easily walk to Superdome and French Quarter. Convenient parking next door for $25/day. Charming and modern redux of some old structures. Many rooms overlook interior atrium - so not the place for you if you need a view.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
