The Lions Inn is a nice B&B in the Marigny District. The rooms are nice (not huge but clean and nicely decorated) and the cost is great. We enjoyed visiting with the other guests at the nightly wine hour (5-6pm). The owner, Ed was very...More
I never write reviews, but felt compelled to write this one. LOCATION: Quiet neighborhood in Marigny, but within walking distance of the French Quarter, around 4 blocks to the French Market and Frenchmans St. COST: Inexpensive, what a great value. The INN: Cozy, clean, all the...More
My stay at the Lions Inn was very dissappointing. The first morn I was awaken to continous hammering on the otherside fo the wall. The second morn I was awaken to loud music, loud voices, and hammering. To make things worse when I spoke to...More
This bed and Breakfast is an excellent value for the money you pay, shows the old architecture of New Orleans and is within walking distance to the French Quarter, is very safe to walk at any time day or night.
I had a great, comfortable, relaxing stay at Lions Inn. Ed was very helpful and gracious, the apartment was quiet and spacious, breakfast was more than adequate, and the location within a 10-15 minute walk from Frenchmen street and the French Quarter was very good....More
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.

We shared a bathroom while there. Not a problem at all - there was a gentleman in another room that shared but was only there one day and we never crossed paths. Actually, a couple of rooms with private bathrooms had the bathroom outside their room anyway. I would use shared on next visit again. Loved it there

"Look exactly at the description of the inn, if you want to get a room with your own shower/bathroom."
