The Lions Inn is the only place we will stay when we come to NOLA. We have been here 4 times, and Floyd, the owner, knows us by name. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a lot of local flavor, and the continental breakfast in the morning is a money and time saver! You have to walk about a...

I spent the weekend at the Lion's Inn with my daughter. What an incredible weekend. This Inn is fabulous. Clean and Authentic! Floyd- The Inn Keeper is a unique host and you will have to learn and understand his "unique" sense of humor. Do not take anything personally. It is all edgy and fun. Floyd is generous and community minded....

My wife and I have never been to New Orleans and were looking forward to the sites and listening to quality jazz. We wanted to stay in a B & B, but wanted to be near the French Quarter as we were going to be without a car. Upon calling Lions Inn, they suggested that we stay in their 1...

Floyd is an outstanding host, and we always have a great time at the Lions Inn in New Orleans. The pool and garden make it so difficult to leave the premises, and in fact, much of our time is spent lounging poolside. The rooms are well-kept and comfortable, and Room #1 in particular opens up directly to the pool. It's...

I am truly sorry if you found me rude, but there had not been a complaint before or after your stay at lions Inn regarding the A/C system in your room. I assume you found me rude when I pointed out that the room door must be kept closed in order to cool the room, as the hall-way is not...

My partner and 6 year old daughter and I loved our stay at Lion's Inn. The guests were mixed--American and international, young and old, gay and straight, business and leisure. Every evening, guests were welcome to get together around the pool, share a glass of wine and get to know one another; however, the inn is quiet and very comfortable...

This B&B is wonderful! We were 4 people, so we stayed in room "C", which is spacious, 2 double beds," A " frame ceiling, large bathroom. And a little fridge, to eat our leftovers later! Very clean!!! And TV of course.Breakfast is continental...bagels, toast, H.B. eggs, juices, coffee, yogarts, fruits, etc.....The best part of breakfast was chit chatting w/ the...

My husband and I just came back from a 4 day stay at the Lions Inn. I can honestly say that we were very happy with the service and location. It is located in the artsy district of Faroy Marinogy which is close to the French Quarter. It is walking distance to the heart of the French Quarter as well...

Lion's Inn was recommended to us by a friend for our recent trip to NOLA. We were looking for something quiet but still within walking distance of the Quarter. We are so grateful for the recommendation as we loved our stay. Floyd is very friendly and personable as is his staff. He made us feel right at home from the...

We had a fabulous time in New Orleans thanks to the Lion's Inn B&B. We loved the Margininy location, the bicycles which we used constantly, the lovely pool area, Floyd, our fine room next to the pool, and meeting the other guests. It's a very relaxed atmosphere yet nice and clean... and pet friendly. The folks we met said they...

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
