I really enjoyed my time at the Auberge. The staff were really friendly and cool. They did a great job taking as out to Bourbon street and providing ways to meet other people at the hostel. The house is comfortable and feels like a home. About a 20 minute walk from the French

I loved this place! I'm 35 but it made me feel like I was sleeping over at my friend's house. It's so homely and has so many nice touches. I've been travelling for 10 months and this is without a doubt the homeliest place ive stayed. The staff are incredible - my partner was

Some hostels have private rooms (don’t think Auberge does but not positive) but for the most part, staying at a hostel means sleeping in a shared dorm room with other travelers. Also hostels will provide kitchens and shared social spaces unlike hotels/motels. If you’re traveling alone or like to socialize, I think a hostel would be a better fit for you.
