Yes it's old but some basic maintenance would help. You are greeted in you room by a jet engine Ioniser blowing away. The listing said Bed & breakfast but there is no breakfast. Saw the caretaker for 5 minutes, he did recommend the local cafes and bakeries, they were excellent. It's a safe area and a short, safe walk to the...

Kim and her husbands are quite possibly the best hosts I have ever had. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Went down with two of my friends for marti and Kims advice and knowledge of the city made the experience incredible.Intend to stay there again if I am in New Orleans.

We had six glorious nights at this fabulous property, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. We stayed in the Plantation Room, and it was just great. Memory Foam mattress, 550+ thread count linen, fluffy towels and face cloths, such comfort! An armoire and closet, lots of space for our needs and a flat screen telly with close to...

The house was beautiful and the neighborhood was cute. Everyone was so friendly and the place felt incredibly homey. The only thing was the wifi didn't work at first but it was fixed the day we left. I enjoyed the stay.

We stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful time, the room was so cosy and very clean and had all the amenities we needed including TV & fridge in our room, washer/dryer, coffee machine available at all times along with clean towels, it was like a home away from home with all the creature comforts and a great...

My wife and I stayed in New Orleans for 5 days. This 4-5 bedroom hotel is a quaint little shotgun double only 7mins (via bike) from the French Quarter. Everything was very cozy and decadent - we had the Plantation Room. It was pretty small, but felt open with tall 17ft ceilings - classic New Orleans architecture. There's no room...

We stayed at the Inn at the beginning of December, prior to cruising out of NOLA. As always, the room and attention to detail by Kim and Charlie was perfect. They always take very good care of us, offering recommendations and catering to our specific needs. They always make us feel welcome and like part of their family. Kim and...

Second time staying here and won't be the last. I plan my yearly trips to Nola to be able to stay here. Always stayed in the Old Europe suite and have never had issues. Kim has always been a peach of a gal to interact with. Her and her husband are both welcoming and full of useful knowledge. Need any...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
