part of me wants to say terrible things about this place so we can keep it a secret and allow us to keep on booking the inn year after year, but kim and charlie are by far two of the best people we've met in a long time and of course i couldn't actually do that after all the hard...

Wonderful rooms, nice landlords and a great back yard. Very quiet and close to the french quarter. I recomend this place highly. Good breakfast place is 2 blocks away. Nice sitting room to get to talk with the other guests.

Stayed here with friends for a few days leading up to Mardi Gras. We booked fairly late, so we were happy to find lodging near the French Quarter. Overall, our experience was quite positive. As so many other reviews say, Kim and Charlie certainly enhance the experience. They are warm, down-to-earth people who bend over backwards to welcome their guests....

I stayed at the Historic Creole Inn in January of 2013, the first weekend of Mardi Gras and I absolutely loved it! My family was visiting from Brazil and Ms. Kim and Mr. Charley provided us an unforgettable experience! They were amazing, always helpful and we felt like at home! The Inn is very well kept, clean, beautiful... Simply wonderful!...

We enjoyed our stay at the Creole Inn and the Inn Keepers quite a lot. 4 of us shared the Old Europe Two Bedroom Suite and found it quite comfortable. The sitting room and court yard out the back door made the space very livable. The staff, Kim and Charley were wonderful. The building is old and the plumbing and...

I went to the Creole Inn for Superbowl week. I found the Inn to be very clean, quaint and within walking distance of the French Quarter. Kim and Charlie are the Inn keepers and they were so friendly and accommodating. They were even so great as to include me on some excursions that they went on as they knew I...

My husband and I tripped onto this fantastic little Inn on Super Bowl weekend. We were staying in a horrifying place across town and were desperate for a room. Kim was able to help us out. And did she ever! This place is cute and cozy... And a great price! The location is simply amazing. Free street parking. 4 blocks...

The Creole Inn was just what we were looking for!! Laid back style and southern hospitality set the mood for exploring New Orleans during Mardi Gras and the lead in to Superbowl weekend! Kim and Charlie were great hosts. Being so close to so much, especially Frenchmen St, we had a ball hearing so much great music and hanging out...

I booked the old Europe 2 bedroom room for my trip to New Orleans with my husband in January. While I must say the place was clean and my room was nice. (Well half my room was) In the middle of the night I woke up to someone BREAKING into my room. (Scared the living daylights out of me!) They...

We are glad we get to explain the truth behind these guests. The 2 guests in this room were arguing very loud with each other. So the guest in the room directly above this room called the staff at 1215 am in the morning. The staff asked the couple to please quiet down but both were intoxicated. About 1 am...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
