Maison DuBois is decorated lovely both inside and out. The common areas are inviting. Tom Seale is a gracious host. But the location is amazing. Half a block from the French Quarter and 5-10 minute walk from Frenchmen Street, yet very quiet. I'd love to come back sometime soon.

Maison DuBois was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay. It's right off the French Quarter and is walking distance to everything but still quiet and peaceful. Unexpectedly, Tom introduced us to an even better part of town, Frenchmen Street, which is just down the block in the opposite direction and has the best live jazz ever!...

The house is beautiful, very old but in excellent condition and well furnished. The host Tom is also great and can share a lot of local information with you. The best part is that you cross the street and you are on the edge of the French Quarter. All of the French Qtr and Frenchman street area are within easy...

I found this B&B a very comfortable place to stay. The beds was comfy and very old which added to the charm. Tom the host was very enjoyable and easy to talk to. He was also very helpful with the what to do and where to go. The verandah was a very cool place to sit and watch the world...

Thought I had died and gone to heaven. It had everything from a pool and hot tub to the best location. We will be back time and time again. My new home away from home! Fell in love with the furniture and even had a piano.

We loved this beautiful home for our quick three day getaway. We arrived late In the evening and were greeted and welcomed with advice on where to park, a quick tour of the home and then left to enjoy our stay. It's located In The French Marigny, bustling with live music joints, fresh new cocktails and more of a local...

Enjoyed a balcony room over a stunning salt water pool & yard and found host Tom engaging and right there every time I called his cell. Breakfast was simple but fine and the location between Frenchmens St and the heart of the Quarter was perfect

Our sanctuary away from home. We only live a couple hours away, and it's the only place we stay when in NOLA. You'll have to come experience the pool area yourself; it's really why we go over there. You'll forget you're in the city. Tom and Gary are the Best and excellent sources of where to eat and what's going...

I have stayed at the Maison DuBois a number of times, and have always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are comfortable, and well maintained. The host, Tom, is enjoyable and knowledgeable. The breakfast is continental, so keep that in mind you are looking for a fancy breakfast. The pool is refreshing on a hot summer’s day. The house is quite...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
