This place was definitely better in person than in the pictures! I loved the feeling I got when I was there! Such a good area to stay! We walked everywhere from this hotel! I will definitely stay here again next time I come to New Orleans! Everyone was so nice. The bed wasn't super comfortable and the pillows were not...

What can I say..... not the first time I have stayed, nor will be the last. Looking forward to next Mardi Gras. If you are looking for room service, house keeping, modern day amenities then stay at a hotel. If you are looking for what New Orleans is all about then stay at this hidden Gem!!! First off, it is...

Our second visit and as good as we remembered. Within easy walk of Bourbon Street and Royal Street. Kelly was brilliant making us feel really welcome suggesting places where we would see really good Christmas decorations and places to eat. We were in the Suite on the front of the house facing the street but was really quiet. There was...

The RBGH was the best place I have ever stayed. My friend and I rented the Gothic Room for 2 nights and it's on the side of the street opposite of all the noise and huzzah, tucked away in a breathtaking courtyard and little secret garden of the city. Kelly in the front office is an absolute doll and sweetheart...

Within blocks of the chaotic Bourbon street, but close enough to walk there and the waterfront. Our room was the one facing the street, but it was plenty quiet. The two room mini-suite had a huge bed, and a day bed. 2 window air conditioners that worked perfectly. Now a word about our room décor, immodestly decorated and painted in...

I loved the Bunk Room. My only hang up was the water pressure in the sink and shower. Made it very hard to get the perfect heat setting. Courtyard was a great place to hang out and have a drink. Courtyard has an ice machine which is Clutch. Also has a microwave if u wanna heat up something. Glasses, plates...

The missus has always wanted to see New Orleans, the Quarter, and environs. We took the extended holiday around Thanksgiving to do just that. After doing a whole lot of research I decided the RBGH was the best combination of value, location, and--as a reluctant oldster--quiet in the middle of the storm. Based on that criteria alone, RBGH is lights...

I stayed here with my parents and sister. We loved our guesthouse. The outside is perfectly restored. The suite was beautiful, with soaring ceilings and beautiful molding and pocket doors, which could split the room in half. The suite easily accommodated 4: the full side bed easily slept two. The riser quickly went from a couch in our sitting room...

You cannot beat the price, the location and our host, Kelly (she was so friendly and helpful). But I need to be honest and say that we did not find the accommodation (the Suite) all that great. We found the room cold and drafty (it is an old building); the window a/c units have heat but it smelled like burning...

My fiance and I have been staying at this loacation for a few years now and love how close it is to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. The manager, Kelly, is simply fantastic. She always goes out of her way to make us feel at home and comfortable and she's fun to talk to. The rooms are clean and...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
