The Burgundy Bed and Breakfast has 4 guest rooms, each with its own private bath. We share the courtyard, spa, porches and the dining room with our guests. And there is a parlor and a galley kitchen for the guests to share. The rear porch opens onto a courtyard, which is suitable for sunbathing. Across the courtyard is the half-open “carriage house”, in which the spa is located.

We had a clean, comfortable, and spacious room in this converted double shotgun house with eclectic New Orleans décor in gentrifying Marigny area. Host Joe was informative and accommodating, and Federico’s breakfasts had lots of options and great fresh fruit. Convenient 10 minute walk to music venues on Frenchmen Street. Thirty minutes to Jackson Square. Twenty minutes to streetcar and French Quarter. Good value for the money. We would definitely stay here again.

I was unwell throughout my stay and spend a lot of time in my room, on the rocking chair on the front porch and some time in the hot tub while my son and his partner went out an about. The Burgundy is a wonderful place if you're ill and also if you are well. Federico is an enthusiastic breakfast host and Jo concentrates more on the administration. I have visited New Orleans twice before in the last ten years and always stayed in this area as I am keen on music and The Burgundy is perfectly placed for Frenchman Street. It is easy to get anywhere from the Burgundy. The rooms are even better than they look on the Burgundy website. I attach a photo of the Palm Court Cafe which is not widely publicised and a a good walk from the Burgundy. It is a great place to hear eat and hear music/

This place was great, very clean and quiet. The owner were nice and courteous. Our room was very clean and spacious. Location of the place was close enough to all the action to be able to walk but far enough away to be quiet. Highly recommend this B&B

Our NOLA trip was definitely enhanced by staying in this lovely, quiet home. We felt very at-ease here. I loved the location, in a quiet neighborhood but so close to Frenchmen St. and many great restaurants. Our room was cozy and beautiful, with everything in perfect working order. Like all the other reviewers, I also want to celebrate Joe's kind hospitality and Federico's amazing breakfast service. I'll stay here again if I come back to NOLA.

I had a very nice experience staying at this B&B. The owner was very nice and accommodating. My room was very nice and spacious. Owner was very polite, and definitely made me feel at ease. Owner was very informative about the parades, restaurants and the area. He made a daily schedule regarding the different parades. Location very close to French Quarters, and other bars. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone.

The Burgundy turned out to be an excellent choice. The house is charming and spacious. The location is convenient to the French Quarter and other attractions.
Joe and Federico are pleasant gentleman and very helpful.

The breakfast was substantial and tasty. Jovial Federico went out of his way to accommodate diners.

This place has everything. Reasonable price, quiet but convenient location, great breakfast, and perhaps the best porch in the Marigny. Great restaurants in walking distance, and a short walk to the Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. Joe and Federico are wonderful hosts, and Federico puts on a fine breakfast. We absolutely loved it, and would absolutely stay again. Recommended!

On arriving here in the dark we were a little concerned as area looked a bit scary, Dont be. The next morning we felt very happy and not worried at all. It's in a great location easy walking to the market, the river and bourbon st.
Joe meet us on arrival showing us around giving us a map and explaining places to eat and drink locally . We ate in silk rd and the tai both are fab.
Breakfast had a good range of food.
Room and bathroom maybe could do with some updating . Bed was comfy. Found bedroom quite noisy from the trains in the night and also a bit light.
All in all a nice place to stay and would recommend.

Is this a good place to stay with a baby? Do you have a crib or pack n play?
Answer from Carl S

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate children under 6 years of age.

If you can fit down a 3 ft wide alley you can park in the alley or push all the way to the back courtyard. The bikers I have had until now have opted to leave their bikes on the street and there has never been a problem.

We have 2 rooms with one queen bed and one single bed each. We would have to check availability.

Is there a secure parking area or do guests park on the street?
Answer from Carl S
New Orleans, Louisiana
We have street parking only. It's an old, mostly residential neighborhood with virtually no off-street parking. Still it is usually not particularly difficult to find a spot. Carl

Distance is a little over 2 mi. Transportation: 1. walk 15 min. to Esplanade Bus, then short bus ride to FG. 2. walk 2 blocks to St. Claude, short bus ride to Esplanade bus, another short bus ride. 3. taxi. 4. bike. 5. walk about 45 min. Frenchmen St. is a 10 min walk, middle of French Quarter 25 min. It is generally quiet here, mostly residential with some neighborhood bars and restaurants. Deposit policy: One night's rent is due upon reservation. For Special Events the entire amount for your stay is due one month prior to your arrival. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY For cancellations more than one month before arrival date your deposit will be refunded less a $25 cancellation fee per room. For cancellations one month or less (but more than 3 days) before your arrival date, a refund will be made for the nights we are able to re-book your room(s). For cancellations 3 days or less before your arrival date, no-shows and early departures, your credit card will be charged for the entire stay, less the nights we are able to re-book your room(s).
