I stayed at The Burgundy B&B in 2012 and loved it so much that when I visited New Orleans again 6 months later for Jazz Fest, I made sure to book a room here again.
The house is lovely, colourful and very cosy, and the...More
The Burgundy is certainly a bed and breakfast but after a very short time there, it feels like a home, your home.
Carl, who owns the Burgundy Bed and Breakfast also lives on the premises. He is practically invisible until you want or need something...More
The Burgundy is a quaint B&B in the Marigny area. There's very easy access to Frenchman's street and the streetcar is only about 8 blocks away. The owner is a pleasant man that was very accommodating. My only complaint would be that in the middle...More
The house is charming. We stayed in back room known as Red Room and felt very private. Carl provides a great breakfast each morning and it was amazing to dine with other visitors from France, Germany, Switzerland. The walk down to Frenchman and French Quarters...More

Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
If you can fit down a 3 ft wide alley you can park in the alley or push all the way to the back courtyard. The bikers I have had until now have opted to leave their bikes on the street and there has never been a problem.
