We there for five nights in December and were so happy! Beautiful, comfortable, quaint room with healthy and delicious breakfast (not cooked but boiled eggs and peanut butter for protein, fresh fruit - lots - and great coffee, pastries). Perfect location in the Marigny, a...More
Stayed there for 4 nights last week, in the smaller Coral room, not as small as some of the reviews imply...it is perfect for a solo traveler...or a happy couple...it has a shower only, no tub and the sink is in the room...this is in...More
We spent 3 nights at the Burgundy in October and had a great time. The Marigny is a great neighborhood with an awesome bar down the road from the B and B and in walking distance to the French Quarter. We stayed in the red...More
Stayed here for a weekend and thought the place was nice. Full of New Orleans Charm (Clawfoot bathtub, in fact you enter the room through the bathroom). Wonderful little neighborhood with some real local gems to eat or drink at very close by. Definitely a...More

Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
If you can fit down a 3 ft wide alley you can park in the alley or push all the way to the back courtyard. The bikers I have had until now have opted to leave their bikes on the street and there has never been a problem.
