This is our 2nd time staying at Ingram Haus and again it was a most excellent experience. Our unit was spotless, super nice after the recent updates and we really enjoyed staying here. Scott is a great host and we had another wonderful time with him as we were able to have dinner with him twice. He goes out of... More

Don't want everybody knowing about this gem in the Marigny! Privacy, space, enough luxury, and a great price. Scott is da bomb! Great location. Out of the Quarter but an easy walk, plus great bars and restaurants nearby. Drugstore across the street. Streetcar on the way. But don't tell anybody. I want this gem on call for me anytime.

We stayed in the Marigny suite during the 2015 Jazz Fest. The room is huge with a nice, updated bathroom. There is a lovely sitting area outside the room, too. You can either relax in the sun next to the fountain or in the covered area if it's raining. The location is also great. It is right around the corner... More

This was my first return to the City since 1999 and chose a place a way from the madness of the quater, but close to the Phoenix. A great stay in a great room with a great host. Was able to work on my tan a little in the private courtyard, safe walk to everything and a good nights sleep.

I was spending a whole month in New Orleans and was looking for an economical alternative to renting a traditional hotel room. Luckily, I found Ingram Haus and worked out a deal with owner Scott to stay in the Annex in half of a double shotgun house. The apartment was comprised of a large living room with TV (not sure... Ingram Haus is a wonderful place to stay when visiting New Orleans and you will fall in love with it's owner, Scott. We stayed in the Marigny Suite in the annex which has it's own private patio and street entrance with a soothing gold fish pond and fountain surrounded by a beautiful garden. The suite has a very nice bathroom... More

I usually stay closer to Bourbon Street in a hotel, but this time we opted for something a little different. This apartment was spacious and walking distant of French Quarter and Bourbon Street. We comfortably slept 3 adults. It was clean and we felt very safe. Will stay here again!

We had the benefit of meeting Scott and staying here. It is a very clean place and we felt secure the whole time. He was gracious enough to run us out to an interesting cemetery that we wouldn't have been able to navigate by bus and gave us some information on the customs as well as some info about Katrina.... Ingram Haus offers something any traveler weary of hotel rooms most appreciates: no intrusions by maids, no lobby to cross and recross, no annoying waits for the elevator. Instead the hotel offers (or I got since I didn't see the other rooms) suites, in my case, a living room, bedroom, kitchen (New Orleans shotgun style) and a bathroom (shower, no... More

Ingram Haus is such a cozy place to stay. Scott Graves (the owner) makes you feel so welcome. There are several different rooms to choose from, all of which are great! It is within walking distance to the quarter and there are several great bars very near it. The John is a great little bar, but the VERY VERY VERY... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.

“I stayed in the annex which was fine, like having your own home in NOLA, but bring ear plugs. Rooms in the main house would be quieter most likely, but I can't vouch for their layouts.”
