My husband and I stayed at Maison De Macarty for 5 nights in November. It is a beautiful B&B, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the pool cottage and it was a wonderful experience - no complaints at all. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with Kurt, Dr. Warren, Chef Curtis and the other guests during breakfast. Big...

My husband and I stayed 4 nites at the Maison de Macarty during Thanksgiving week. Our reason for staying there probably won't be shared by anyone else, but the house was owned by my husband's family from the 1890's until they sold it in the 1970's. Since then, it has operated as a B and B with different owners. Our...

What a treat! Thanks for spending a little time with us retracing family history. The old picture of the house is fantastic and is going in a frame up front. Thanks again!

Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! Because this was my first vacation where I was going to be alone, I felt a bit nervous and unsure of myself. Well, Kurt, Warren and Curtis took those uneasy feelings away as soon as I arrived. They were so welcoming and gave me a map of the neighborhood where they included a few good places to...

My husband and I stayed at Maison de Macarty in Novemebr 2014 for a long weekend get-away. We truly enjoyed the ambience and friendly environment that Kurt offered. We looked forward to the breakfast every morning just to see what delectable creation Curtis the chef would serve to delight the guests. We also really appreciated Kurt's suggestions on area restaurants,...

My daughter was married at Maison de Macarty on November 1, 2014. The house and the surroundings are beautiful and the wedding day was a beautiful fall day. Kurt, Warren, and Curtis (my favorite chef now) are most gracious, and caring, and perfect hosts. The wedding party rented the whole house and everything was excellent. The night before the wedding...

I can't say enough good things about this place. Perfect for a small to medium wedding, and I definitely recommend the whole wedding party stay here. Great location, great breakfast, and great staff. They will help you plan with recommendations for anything you might need that they can't provide. There's something unique about every room and the rates were more...

All members of their staff - owner, cook, etc. went all the way to make sure we were comfortable, well-fed and well-served. I would heartily recommend this B&B to any one - it was a joyful stay. Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
