A very comfortable hotel room attached to the Hyatt Regency. The staff were genuinely helpful in all regards and the breakfast was excellent. My only issue was that you had to walk through the Hyatt Regency conference area to access the fitness rooms - awkward but unavoidable. Oh, and PLEASE put a full sized towel bar in the bathroom if you honestly want us to help the environment by reusing our towels.

My husband and I just returned from my trip to New Orleans and we really loved our stay at Hyatt House. After staying at small boutique hotels across the US and overseas, we were just tired of small, cramped spaces with minimal amenities. We chose this location because it was in walking distance to the French Quarter (about 15 mins) and it was in a quiet area. We ran into a couple who stayed at a hotel near the French Quarter and they barely got any sleep. I soundly slept like a baby for 4 nights!
The room was very spacious and the couch/lounge area was wonderful. The room was clean and came with the usual amenities of a typical business hotel such as a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toiletries. There was also a pool and a workout room, though we didn't use them.
The FREE breakfast was spot on. Sure it was your usual continental spread but it actually tasted good. The bacon looked and tasted like bacon and you can choose from so many options. I would highly recommend this place!

My daughter had to have surgery in NOLA so we stayed at this hotel. It was important for her to be comfortable after surgery and Jasmine, from Hyatt House, went out of her way to make sure my daughter had everything she would need including a large discount for our stay. We had a beautiful suit with very large windows covering two walls. The furniture was very comfortable and a nice size kitchen and large table. It was great having a full service Starbucks in the hotel.
A couple of improvements could make the hotel even better. The bedroom in the suit needs much better lighting. Also the valet parking guys need to be much more attentive to the guest entering tho hotel with luggage instead of staring intently into their phones. Despite these minor couple of things we would be happy to stay again.

Hyatt House is right next to the Hyatt Regency, connected with it on the 2nd floor. Reception in Hyatt House leaves a lot of room for improvement. The ladies working there are not up to date concerning room occupancy, visitor information and general knowledge of the area. We had trouble getting the room we booked and had to change rooms twice to finally get into our room.
Concierge service in the Hyatt Regency is very friendly and helpful, though not always uptodate with tourist information.
Location is right next to Superdome, Hop On Hop Off busstop is right in front of the Hyatt Regency main entrance, as well as Streetcar stop.

First, this hotel has very unprofessional staff. I booked the hotel via JetBlue vacation and waited for 45 minutes to check in, because the front desk guy told me that he could not find my prepaid billing information for my reservation. I had to pay again to check in and spent 30 minutes on the phone to get JetBlue contacted the hotel and resend them billing information. The guy at front desk refused to help contacting JetBlue to get the information.
Although they did refund me the money after JetBlue resent the billing information, they messed up with the record. I got a call a few days later telling me that they don’t have my credit card on file for incident charges. It was ridiculous because they already charged me a second payment BY MISTAKE on the day I checked in. I told them that I will come back in the evening to leave credit card information AGAIN, and they suspended my room key immediately because I did not have time to go to the front desk right after the call.
All the staff at the front desk are rude, incompetent and unprofessional.
Second, the sink in the restroom has water leakage. It was absolutely inconvenient but we decided not to bother with this in order to avoid interaction with front desk.
Third, the entrance to the hotel is extremely confusing. The door to the street entrance is locked, so you won’t be able to get in on the first day and will have to take the entrance at Hyatt regency.
Fourth, the breakfast is very low quality. They currently deliver breakfast to the room and it’s nothing close to what you would expect for breakfast at a 3-star hotel.

My mother and I had our first stay at the Hyatt House in New Orleans. The hotel was very clean. They had on-site security. Staff were friendly. They provided although they left it at the door and didn’t knock to let us know it was there. No complimentary bottled water in room nor in the breakfast bag. They did not provide maps for local public transportation (RTA buses and streetcars). There was no Concierge although the Clerk said the attached Hyatt Regency provided water in the rooms and had a Concierge at least on the weekends. Overall, it was a nice hotel.

Nice, clean well run hotel with a great view of the Superdome. In a town that seems to do service less than you would want, the Hyatt House was spectacular. Parking is expensive and the room for 4, meant that 2 people slept on a pull-out couch.
The lobby is on the 11th floor, so in the evenings when we would play cards in the breakfast area we had great views of the city since we were elevated. The breakfasts were great - we were there at a busy time with mostly tourists and they kept up the pace!!
We walked to the WWII Museum - 20 minutes. The French Quarter would be a little far for my taste, but super close to the SuperDome.

We arrived to be greeted by well dressed, friendly staff who helped us relax and feel like we were welcome. We were shown where the included full breakfast is being held each morning. Our room was very nice. Fully modern with small fridge, two burner cook top, king bed and good size tv. Very nice and modern bath. Overall a very nice room. Breakfast was top notch with lots of hot food (eggs, bacon, cereal, drinks as well as cold cereal, yogurt etc. Excellent food, service and facilities. The hotel is downtown which provides easy access to many venues. This also provides for traffic noise though. Overall we were very happy with our stay, especially the friendly staff.

Besides the outdated decor and confusing elevator setup, I was left feeling UNSAFE!
While staying at this hotel someone claiming to be housekeeping opened my door however he was wearing a backpack. I had to push the door close and lock it. This is extremely alarming because this hotel no longer provides room service. Only when you check-out housekeeping enters the room to clean. After reporting this incident to the front desk, I was told they would follow up with housekeeping management. I was not given any updates and left feeling uneasy. My friend went to the front desk to find get an update and was told that it was just a mix-up. The manager Marisol, insisted that the housekeeper made a mistake with the rooms. However, I don't believe it because the male was wearing a backpack and they don't have any cameras in the hallways to confirm it was really housekeeping. I WOULDN'T book this hotel!

This hotel was a good stay, but it could definitely use some changes. Firstly the lobby being on the 11th floor is annoying and inconvenient. You have to take one elevator from your room to get to the 11th floor, then another elevator from the 11th floor to get to street level in order to leave the hotel. The free "breakfast" is delivered to you every morning in paper bags that are left in front of your door. The pool location is also extremely inconvenient, since it's located in the Hyatt Regency next door which is fine, but it takes FOREVER to walk there from Hyatt House. Plus there are rarely any signs showing you how to get there, so we had to ask some folks in the Regency how to get to the pool. Other than that, our room and bathroom were clean, and the view of the Superdome/SKC was beautiful. I enjoyed the multiple TV channels, and the staff was friendly. They also hold your luggage if your flight is later in the day like ours was which was a plus. The CBD location is also great as there are plenty of restaurants around on Poydras.

Yes. It is shared with the Hyatt Regency.
The breakfast was awesome!!
There's a freezer "area", but I would not say it's of a temp. you'd need. Our experiece is the frig warmed overnight and food we had in it we threw away. There was no control in the frig to make it colder.
