Neighbourhood
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

The hotel and staff were everything we could’ve hoped for. The bartenders in both the hotel bar and the Bourbon O Bar were excellent as well. The suite with the balcony overlooking Bourbon street really made the experience. I would definitely recommend this establishment!!

Hotel, staff, and environment was absolutely wonderful. Distance to Bourbon Street was fantastic. Every great local spot was walking distance. We felt safe and quickly knowledgeable about the neighborhood.

Bourbon Orleans was a great experience for us. The great southern hospitality was appreciated. We did not want to leave. The location is perfect; walking distance to Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and great restaurants was convenient. You do not need to rent a car.

From the moment we arrived at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, and Louis managed the car and luggage, my grandchildren and i knew we were embarking on a WONDERFUL stay. The lady at the check-in counter was gracious and kind to this old lady, who had to search for cards and license.

Great room and location. Find a nicer place to eat breakfast. The service was slow and the food was not that good. Do take the hotel ghost tour though. The concierge was very helpful. Bell station was friendly, helpful and prompt.

The hotel is on Orleans Street with Bourbon on one side, Royal on the other, and Anne Street behind. You can walk out onto Bourbon Street from the Bourbon O bar which is in the hotel. We had a balcony that overlooked Anne St. We could see Bourbon Street as our room was about half of a block down.
