Such a great hotel. Having stayed at other hotels in the quarter, I can definitively say that this hotel is the best for your buck. Great location, great balcony, and great staff. Do the breakfast buffet!

If you are over 60 and want to be "in" the Quarter but not "of" Bourbon Street, consider the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Short walk to everything, yet the quiet side is truly quiet and the hotel has recently been totally updated. Good water pressure, fresh decorating and A/C that handles the humidity. Valet parking due to space shortage. We ate...

We were delighted with this hotel. The service we received was both efficient and effective at all levels. The hotel was tastefully and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Hot coffee and Apple Cider on tap all day is a lovely touch.

Very friendly staff and great location. The hotel is a block from Jackson Square and half a block from Bourbon Street. I could not have chosen a better situated hotel. I loved the hot cider the staff put out every afternoon/evening for our winter stay. That was a nice touch.

From the check in where we were able to get a room that was perfect for our needs with charm and grace, to Caleb the bellman who made us feel wonderfully welcome, to the cleanup crew in the morning who were efficient and friendly, the bar staff who made us feel like partying all night, and Erin in the Roux...

The food was very good. The music was festive and the seating was adequate. The lobby as well as the hall was beautifully decorated. I love the Santa and Mrs. Claus. Everyone in our family had a great time and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.

We had 2 rooms the 1 bed room was a bit small for us but the 2 beds one was spacious. We used the pool it was very nice and thank God the pool was heated. The hotel is close to everything. The concierge selected for a us a couple of perfect tours (swamp, voodoo).

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
