We stayed here in December and they had the special Papa Noel rates. This is the best hotel location, between Royal and Bourbon, directly behind St. Louis Cathedral. During our stay, they had hot apple cider or hot chocolate available in the lobby. Such a nice touch for their guests. I also had a small plumbing issue and it was...

Dear travellingfifties, Thank you for staying with us during the holidays. We truly love to celebrate the season and complimentary cider just makes everything feel right…..and there is no alcohol involved! Please let everyone over in Houston know we are here for them! This was our 2nd stay at Bourbon Orleans and we will stay here again. It's location just behind St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square is an excellent one and suited our needs. The rooms are spacious, especially for the French Quarter, and are well appointed. We requested a courtyard side room, which I understand are quieter than those that face...

This is a great locale in the French Quarter. Nights are a bit loud, but that is not the hotel's fault, it is the French Quarter after all and many folks come there to party. The room I was in was a great corner room with a spacious foyer that was great for socializing.

Dear Keg2017, Thank you for staying with us and for your nice feedback. Our balcony rooms on Bourbon Street can be impacted by noise on occasion. We are happy you had a good time! Best Regards, Mark Wilson and the Associates of the BOH

This would have to be the best place to stay when visiting the French Quarter. The location is ideal. Very friendly staff, bar has a lot of atmosphere and the jazz bands were excellent. Only one small concern and that is the distance of our room from the elevator. Best you check with reception before you agree to the room....

Surrounded by all the charms of the French Quarter, this gem is perfectly situated for anyone wanting to experience all the French Quarter has to offer. The hotel night club featured live jazz for those not wanting to stray too afar. Service was noticeably on top of their game from the valet parking to the front desk.

This Hotel exceeded my expectations, I will be back upon my next visit to N.O. It was clean, comfortable, well kept, cozy, centrally located, well furnished, well staffed, and was just an exceptional place to lodge.

Everything was great except there was no side chair to watch tv or read the newspaper. Only had a desk chair and was not comfortable. I asked for a side chair and they brought me another desk chair that was functioning, but not really comfortable to watch tv.

Centrally located to many local attractions. Clean friendly staff. A bit pricy. O bourbon bar is small and has a limited wine list. Did not eat at the restaurant, but was a bit pricy. Went a short walk and got a great breakfast for at least 1/2 the price. Key card did not work in the elevator and had to...

AC did not work, making room very hot at night. Rooms are small, but excellent central location to a lot of NOLA. Nice view of wall to building next door! At check-in told the room was not ready, but could put me in street view, on Bourbon Street, why not. Street view was wall of adjoining property, Bait and Switch!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
