Great place to stay. Right on Bourbon and Royal. In the heart of it all. Staff very accommodating. Do not stay on 6th floor. Walls slope in. You constantly hit your head. We were moved without hesitation. Rates were different every night. Be sure you check each days rate when you book. You will not need or use your car...

This was our 3rd time to stay here and we will be back. The location is absolutely ideal and always safe to walk to destinations. The hotel is very clean and staff is overly friendly. Always a great experience.

This is right in the heart of the French Quarter. The Hotel is remodeled, nice rooms and there is always fresh tea and water in the lobby. The lobby has a nice sitting room to relax in until your shuttle appears. They have a dining room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also an adjoining bar on the property...

Great location in the French Quarter, feet away from the Cathedral. We requested a room facing the pool and at a high floor to avoid street noise. Best also if it faces Orleans St, and not Bourbon St. for the same reason. The hotel is charming and old, but needs some renovations, like bathrooms and carpets. The pillows were old...

Rooms were great and the Balcony was great for both coffee and drinks. Very clean rooms and staff was wonderful. The French quarter was cool to be so close and being on Bourbon Street will be something I will always remember.

If you want to be in the heart of the action Bourbon Orleans is a good choice. I debated between B&B's in the Garden District or a full service hotel in the center of things, and we were happy with our choice. Bourbon Orleans rooms are slightly outdated, with very little drawer space for clothes, and does not offer 5...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
