Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Courtyard room on the third floor was very quiet and nice. High 12' ceilings with extra space to use with couch and tables. Nice TV that connects with their free wifi to your own netflix account was a great thing.

Hyatt Centric is an amazing location. Also the management is tops. We had a minor hiccup and Angelo fixed it in a second. Charles and Patrick at the bar are great. The hotel is gorgeous. Get a Bourbon street balcony. All the staff is amazing. I heart Hyatt.

The hotel is conveniently located to all the hustle and bustle. It was decorated beautifully during the winter holidays. The staff interaction was great as well. Everyone was very nice and made our stay very successful

Actually, it’s a ten minute walk from the hotel to the French Quarter. And if you use the exit on Canal Street, there’s a Red Line (Canal St. Line) streetcar stop half a block away, that will take you there.

Regular, in. Bathrooms are nice, but not over the top luxurious.

I would think that it would be. Most of their balconies are -- however, you will be looking at or be near others who also have a balcony.

There are only a few balconies. Call them and request a room with one. If you go online to their site, they list the rooms with the balconies.

The pool area is pleasant enough and is on 2nd floor. Not sure what accommodations are available on ground floor suggest you give them a call.
