Was not given check in call until 5pm even though promised by 2pm. Room was cleaned but not restocked. Operator and housekeeping were not available to pick up phone on a consistent basis. Nice hotel, but needs to work on logistics.

We stayed at the Hyatt instead of the hotel we were in last year on Poydras! Really cut down on the walking we had to do. Well worth it. They have some rooms available on Bourbon Street, but we elected a quiet suite. Very nice room, bed were comfy. Plenty of pillows and nice linens. Towels need an upgrade. The...

This is really a great hotel. Located in the French Quarter, it is housed in a former Kresge's department store. The property has warm colors and open spaces. Rooms overlook the French Quarter - or - into courtyards and onto the hotel's swimming pools. These are my favorite as you're in the French Quarter, but you can be insulated from...

This hotel is located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It is just steps away from Bourbon Street. It is at the start of Bourbon Street, therefore it will not be as noisy as other hotels which are located right on Bourbon Street. Every major attraction (Aquarium, mall, WW II Museum, casino, etc) in New Orleans are within a...

Hotel, staff and service was excellent But worse breakfast I had. I'm hoping they were having an off day. A friend had dinner and said it was good, but the breakfast was terrible. I would definitely stay at this hotel again was very nice.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to stay here. This hotel is located where the raucousness of Bourbon street starts yet you can escape into the luxury, retreat and regroup. They have balcony rooms as well as inner courtyard rooms, our room faced the pool. It was very quiet on the 4th (top) floor and I didn't hear...

The hotel staff was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Public areas and rooms all very clean and comfortable. Just steps from Bourbon Street but hotel and room were fairly noise resistant.. If you are in NOLA and want to be in the Quarter I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! Location right on bourbon so could be a little noisy just depends on what kind of trip you're taking!! Very close to the street cars on Canal and close to the river! Everything was within walking distance!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
