First I would like to thank the great staff at the Hyatt centric French quarter. Everyone from the front desk , powdered sugar (on site restaurant) and the hotel manager. My wife and I have stayed at this location a few times already and we will continue to book our future stays in New Orleans. Every time we stayed here...

As we walked into the hotel, it was impressive. We got upgraded to suits right away with no request from us. Also received free bottle of wine and cheese in each room as well as $50 breakfast credit. Rooms were very spacious, clean, and well decorated. Even though located the corner of the Bourbon st. Did not hear any noise...

Hotel is conveniently located in the French quarter, within walking distance to many of the great restaurants/bars. Do expect some noise during the night since Bourbon street is right there. The room was spacious and clean, and in good condition. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely one of the better choices around town!

We stayed at the Hyatt for five days, two of which were for a conference. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel and our room was spotless. We loved the extra high ceilings in our room and the access to the pool courtyard directly from our room (2nd floor). Ask for a courtyard view if you want a...

A lovely, large room because of our upgrade. It was fully and comfortably equipped. Wonderful that we could use on exit and be out on Canal Street and then another exit where we were in the French Quarter.

We stayed here for 2 short nights. The hotel is beautiful. We had a courtyard balcony room. The rooms are large with modern decor. The location is central to Bourbon Street, next door to the Hard Rock Cafe but is quiet and seems further away from the hustle and bustle than what it actually is. The lobby cafe and bar...

This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to the whole French Quarter. The hotel is beautiful and very calm, a nice place to come back to after an exciting evening in NOLA. Everyone was helpful, professional and greeted us with a smile. Rooms were clean and well done. Try the Powdered Sugar cafe. Food there is very...

This is a great little spot - a great value, great service. The concierges are especially helpful and attentive and knowledgeable. Great place for a combination business/pleasure trip. Centrally located.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
