We spent here 4 nights. At the beginning we got a king room on the 4th floor. The room was fine but the view booked by a parking lot. We than upgraded to the 12 floor and got a Beautiful room with a great view. The bed was very comfortable. Gear shower. Above all the staff is just amazing. Helped...

Everything about this hotel was delightful. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and chic. The art throughout the hotel was lovely, especially the Maria Callas piece behind the front desk. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful. Additionally, the location was stellar, with easy access to Canal, Bourbon, and the French Quarter. I would absolutely stay here again!

We have stayed three times. I'm a native New Orleanian living in Texas now and come back for Jazz Fess with friends. The hotel staff is phenomenal and answer every call. The location is perfect for getting around the city. i like the location because I can get anywhere in the city without any problems. Wont stay anywhere else.

All the amazing things. Where do I begin? I have stayed at IHH on several occasions, from bachelorette parties to couples' weekend getaways and it has NEVER disappointed! Not only is it our favorite hotel in all of NOLA, but it's the ONLY hotel you should consider. Over Jazz Fest weekend, we made the mistake and booked an old hotel...

The min you walk in the entire hotel and hallways smell amazing. It had a spa and serene feeling to it. I was in for a conference and it just so happened to be Jazz Fest. It is very close to the french quarter but not in the craziness of the french quarter. Everything was literally within walking distance. The...

My room was upgraded on arrival giving me slightly more floor space. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. Fresh fruit, tea and coffee is provided every morning and the bar downstairs serves cocktails from 4pm. I was very pleased

This was a very quaint hotel! The staff were nice and the bar was great! The room was clean and updated! I loved the bed! The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for! Front desk staff held our bags and texted us when the room was ready. We ask for suggestions for dinner and they gave us a map...

Every year I stay at a new boutique hotel in a different city for my birthday. This year was the big 3 0 and extra special so we decided to travel further than usual. My boyfriend chose New Orleans and I chose IH. It looked beautiful from the pictures and got decent reviews. I don't think I've ever checked into...

I've been to this bar 3 times over the years, but stayed here for the first time this year. Its a beautiful hotel with a nice lobby. No restaurant but they did offer coffee and fruit in the morning. I had a 2-bed room with a large window. It was spacious, comfortable, and quiet with a very modern bathroom and...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
