I stayed here with a few friends for a reunion. The best part was the lobby and bar. The lobby is very inviting. Although our service in the bar the first time we went there was slow, that improved with later visits. As we were a large group there on a festival weekend, we had a hard time finding bars...

Great location. Right near Magazine, FQ, and Business District. Super gorgeous lobby. Good customer service. Only downside: parking fees. Other than that, highly recommend. Oh, and, don't get a room without a window.

We were in New Orleans for one night on either end of a cruise to the Western Caribbean - the night of 4/7 and the night of 4/16 - and both stays were excellent. Location: The hotel itself is located just on the outside edge of the French Quarter. It was the perfect location for getting to the action, as...

We really enjoyed our stay at The International House Hotel and the Loa Bar is GREAT! When we arrived, we were greeted by the hip bellman at the curb, dressed in black, and escorted to the front desk. (I think they all wear black) The lobby of the IHH is stunning and the artwork is wonderful. We checked in quickly...

Great hotel, great location. Walking distance to French Quarter, convention center, lots of local attractions. Close to great restaurants. Staff was amazing! Very friendly, helpful, just wonderful all around. Room featured Apple TV, which I could view from the huge soaking tub. Room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. California Closets made it easy to unpack and stay organized. One...

My wife and I stayed at the International House recently while we were doing some volunteer work in New Orleans. The hotel lived up to most of the previous reviews, but I would caution anyone staying in a Panoramic Corner King Room as the street noise is overwhelming! Between people shouting on the street and constant trash pickups, we got...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
