I dreamed of staying in the Napoleon suite for years after seeing it featured on the Travel Channel. I couldn't wait to soak in the marble tub, and that was great, it was the highlight, and while the suite is overall aesthetically lovely, it is in need of a refresher. At its price point I truly expected a bit more. The sinks in the bathroom need refinished or replaced, the left one does not drain. A handle in the shower needs attention, The lighting the bathroom is shorting out, we couldn't get them to stay on. I don't believe it has been given a deep cleaning, as corners in the bathroom looked untouched, there is an unknown stain on one of the love seats. The mattress and bedding was great, but the side rails stick out a distance from the bed and pose a bit of a trip hazard in the darkness of night. The noise coming from the door slamming of the other rooms near this suite is overly loud and certainly takes away from the experience. I did report several of the above to the GM Jeff, but failed to receive any gesture of a comp. Finally this being the flagship suite that was approximately $1000 for 2 nights , and for this price point a few welcome items, some bottled water and a spit of bubbly or wine would have been a nice touch, a little gift goes a long way in the perception of a stay as celebrated as this unique experience. With the lack of an operating bar, restaurant or parking incentive and other 4 star hotels in the area, other than that particular suite, I see no real draw to booking a room here otherwise you've scored a discount on a standard room. I will say in their favor the lobby is gorgeous and the location is nearly perfect, next to the oldest street car line. Again I enjoyed the tub experience, but otherwise it was an average stay.

The hotel is beautiful wonderful lobby and elevators. By this time strict Covid regulations were still in place so I understood why certain things weren't available however it didn't conflict with my stay. I really enjoyed my stay and it would've been 5 stars if it weren't because of the structures water pipes suffering some sort of malfunction. We were moved to a hotel in front of them (Drury I believe) since they had to re-locate everyone who was staying the night there. Nonetheless, it was a pleasure staying here staff was polite and cooperative.

Don't let looks fool you; at first blush the property seems lovely. The lobby is decked out in grand chandeliers and charming historical touches. But if you actually stay there you'll quickly realize it's a horribly mismanaged place that masquerades as luxury but offers worse service than a Motel 6. This is allegedly a 4-star hotel. Yet, they cheap out on everything possible. There is no staff at the front door to greet you or open the goddamn door (my hubs had to help a lady struggling with her bags bc there was no staff.) There is no concierge. They only clean your room every few days and claim you can let them know if intra cleanings are needed but are not nice about these requests. The toilet was Not properly cleaned upon arrival; there was BLACK MOLD rings. They give you *one* roll of toilet paper each time they refill. There were what appeared to be caramel stains on the wall (in the second room we were assigned as the first one had a leaking ac unit). The room phone did not work. The restaurant was closed. The terrace and pool was closed "for renovations" (which was clearly bs; they just didn't hire the staff to maintain it). And then there's the clientele which sure, is not their fault directly but by extension for being such a low quality establishment. Expect to get routinely waken up at 2am and then again at 4am or 5am by rowdy rude fellow guests shouting and cackling to each other at full volume, having returned no doubt from the classy gem that is bourbon street. Oh and the doors don't soft close - they SLAM shut. The doors are also paper thin so you will hear detailed conversations and be able to poke out your head and weigh in on whether tiffani should have gone home with that guy or not. Last but not least, they charge a bs $10/day "historical preservation fee" that the front staff lied and said was a TAX enforced by the New Orleans city government so as not to deal with the pushback that she must routinely get from unsuspecting guests. There's the lie and then there's the nickel and diming. Research confirmed that no other historical Nola property charges this. It's a damn shame. So much promise--this place could really be something special if it wasn't for such bad management.

Thank you for choosing LePavillon and your candid review. we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay here unlike the vast majority of our guests. I will touch on just a few of the points that you made. We do staff the front door with our valet team and a bellman. It is most likely they were involved with other guests at the time of the alleged instance The pool and roof are under repair, as a matter of fact the roof crew was on the roof the entire weekend ( had you been outside of the hotel on Saturday you would have noticed the large crane hoisting materials to the roof. The historic fee is charged to maintain our property as it is listed under the Historic Hotels of America. I will check with my housekeeping team on the issues you raised about cleanliness.
