This is a hard review to write, because much of our experience at Maison Dupuy was good. But the problems were such that I'd be reluctant to take a chance on Maison Dupuy again. The good: the location of the inn, in the French Quarter, and the ambiance of the common areas (lobby, courtyard, bistro) were very nice and inviting....

Nice hotel. Good location. Rooms where quite. Beds super comfy. Nice touches like free flavored water & coffee/tea in the mornings. Didn't try the restaurant but the menu looked good. Staff was courteous.

Very good location to the Quarter! Very accommodating and a lot quieter than expected. Wish we had more time to relax by the pool! Breakfast was nice, service was quick and the food tasty. The valet boys were awesome and helpful!

Was in 'the big easy' last June for a big convention and rather than being at one of the official bigger hotels for the event we opted for a smaller property on the edge of the quarter. Maison Dupuy fit our needs. Quieter location within walking distance to most activities, good onsite restaurant and great staff service. We lucked out...

My friend and I stayed at the Maison Dupuy on a visit to NOLA. The staff was friendly and hotel was clean. I would definitely stay here again. It was close walking distance to everything, but far enough to be quiet.

Wonderful hotel with cheery staff, budget friendly and quiet retreat from the busy French Quarter. My partner and I would definitely come back again! The pool area was also well kept, and the courtyard was beautiful.

Rooms are very small, price was too much for a deluxe room. Restaurant was very good. Staff very friendly. Coffee in the morning and cookies in the afternoon, nice touch! Close to Bourbon street 2blks

The hotel is well located in the heart of the French Quarter. The hotel is French style, comfortable, very friendly, helpful staff. The bedroom was comfortable, we had 2 double beds and it overlooked the internal courtyard and swimming pool. It was good value for money and I would stay there again.

Really good location, close to everything without being in the middle of the craziness. Nice decor to the hotel, very traditional. Me and my wife are not someone who stay at hotels too long, but when we were there it was great. Food for breakfast could be much better!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
