French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

They hotel was worth the money. The rooms weren't super fancy but they were nice, neat and clean. The only reason why I didn't give it an excellent was because it didn't come with as many amenities I'm used to such as a refrigerator and microwave. The location is perfectly

We have stayed at this location several times for our trips to New Orleans. We usually have a great experience staying here but it seems like the quality has went down in the past couple of years. On our most recent trip, the heat in the room did not work and we were placed in a

We wanted to be within walking distance of the Saenger Theater for a reasonable price. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was quiet and comfortable and the walk to/from the theater was easy. We will be back!

What do taxes are due on arrival
Ken I booked via expedia and the only thing i had to pay extra for was car parking charges. I believe there was a sales tax to pay on top of that. Its a bit like VAT here but the prices quoted on price tags in the US do not include this tax. I think it is often around 6%. If you do not pay room rate in advance tax will be charged on top of price quoted for room also.

Is there any free parking?
No, there is valet parking at the hotel for a charge. Very reasonable for having your car safely parked where you’re staying.

The cost of breakfast was about $60.00 for a party of 4. You can find gluten free items on the menu but not a lot to choose from. Found the breakfast to be tasty and enjoyable a bit pricey but good and very good service.

Things were good for me. My only issue was my room not being tidied up, but I think that was a scheduling error. I was in and out of the room, and they may not have had a chance. No roaches.
