I frequent this property regularly. I must say. Even under the crush of reveling parade viewers or ball room type of functions crowds, the property handled it all with great poise and professionalism. Like a well oiled machine. From check in to check out, my family had the luxury of typical 555 treatment even though you knew they had to...

Hotel a bit tired. Needs freshening up. Has Starbucks off the good-looking lobby. Location was excellent for our purposes, which was attending the Orpheus Ball during Mardi Gras. There was a mix-up with the billing, but their accounting department took care of it when it was pointed out to them. The entire staff was very accommodating and friendly.

My son and daughter in law arrived at hotel and requested to check in to the room they had reserved in December for March. They were told "sorry we're overbooked, and you being transfered to another hotel". Check in was 4 pm and at 8 pm they were still not checked in to another hotel. They have to work a...

Mardi Gras happens every year, it has been a thing for years now - long enough for businesses to be a bit more prepared for the crowd. I booked two rooms for 8 adults so we were expecting two queen beds in each room, we get there and they tell us we have to get the king beds in both...

I am a Past platinum elite member and currently in Gold status so very loyal to the Marriott brand. However, this particular recent stay is having me consider changing loyalty programs all together. It was a big fail on Marriott's part. I booked 4 rooms at this property in honor of my 40th bday celebration 3 months ago in advance!!!...

Stayed on a higher floor with great view over French quarter and the river - however the elevator could be heard until late at night. Room was away from the actual elevator, but some heavy machinery operating the lift seems to have been in the room next door. There are two outside pools, a good fitness center, and a truly...

Upon arrival, we realized our rooms were changed to a different tower and not even on the same floor. however they still wanted to charge us the higher rate for the river views we originally had reserved. The M lounge was inconsistent with thier "rules". the red card was not enough, we had to go to the front desk and...

Wonderful time and great staff. This is the best time I have ever had. The local shops and the food places had the best to offer. Tasting the local food had me addicted to the plates served. Had a wonderful time due to the best service any hotel can provide.

I stayed here for two nights for a conference. The hotel was fine, the room was mostly clean (except for the previous occupants garbage in the trash can which wasn't emptied), the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was not great. The location was central and the trolley car was very close, which was great. The lobby...

Let me just say that this was the perfect spot to rest my head for my 1st night stay in New Orleans especially when flying in on the last day of Mardi Gra Fat Tuesday. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
